Clay Aiken, the American Idol singer who recently won his primary race in North Carolina, issued a tweet expressing a desire to punch conservative columnist Ann Coulter in the mouth, according to an article posted Wednesday at SooperMexican. The tweet, initially sent in 2012, has since been deleted, but the blog said it shows the hypocrisy of the left in what liberals like to call the "war on women."
Although the original was deleted, the blog said there were a number of responses to it. One of those who responded was Arsenio Hall.
"You and Ann should do a political version of ESPN's First Take!" he tweeted.
"NoViolence (sic) but I hope she trips, falls&breaks (sic) a tooth," another person added.
It's not the only controversial tweet Aiken deleted, Buzzfeed said in February. According to the online outlet, Aiken deleted a number of messages, including one that said John Edwards is "suffering from karma."
Most of the tweets posted by Buzzfeed are too profane to quote here, but the singer also attacked Mitt Romney, his wife and his wife's horse. He also said the Treasury Department should mint a $16 trillion coin to pay off the nation's debt.
He suggested repealing the 22nd Amendment in order to give Bill Clinton a third term in office and said he was happy to see the “black dude beat the white dude” when Obama beat Romney. Another tweet got Aiken labeled a racist by John Rich, a singer who, according to the Hollywood Reporter, is a Republican.
"Playing drinking game with my brother now," Aiken, tweeted. "We drink every time we see a black person on screen at the RNC convention. #soberasamormon"
"You should be ashamed for racist comments like THAT!" Rich tweeted in response. "WOW. ... I wonder how long it will be till @clayaiken takes that idiotic post down. Clay, you're better than that...I hope."
Aiken now faces GOP incumbent Renee Ellmers in November. He won by a slim 390-vote margin just after his 71-year-old opponent died in a fall at his Asheboro home.

SO GAY: Clay Aiken Tweets About Punching Ann Coulter, Urged Folks to Call Her a C**t

    By Clash Daily / 22 May 2014 / 301 Comments

It should be interesting to see the coverage, or lack thereof, for Mr. Aiken having tweeted a while back, “Anyone else watching @piersmorgan want to punch Ann Coulter in the face?” What’s more, reports blogger Sooper Mexican, Aiken once all but urged fans to call Coulter a c**t. War on women, anyone?
First, Jessica Chasmar of the Washington Times with the Twitter story (emphases mine):
Democratic congressional candidate Clay Aiken has reportedly deleted a tweet in which he fantasized about punching conservative author Ann Coulter “in the face.”
“Anyone else watching @piersmorgan want to punch Ann Coulter in the face?” the former “American Idol” runner-up tweeted in October 2012, The Daily Caller reported.
The tweet was first flagged by a blog that found other instances of celebrities re-tweeting Mr. Aiken’s comment, including Arsenio Hall.

And here’s the offensive tweet that Sooper Mexican found involving the C-word:
Since Ann Coulter says it’s ok 2 b offensive when describing people, let’s “C” what words we can use 2 describe her huff.to/P8moE7
