Democrats Hold Reparations Hearing — Witness Burgess Owens Calls for Democrat Party of Slavery to Pay Restitution (VIDEO)

The House Judiciary Committee’s Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights, and Civil Liberties held a hearing on Wednesday to discuss “the Path to Restorative Justice.” Specifically, they were discussing H.R. 40 — a bill that proposes a commission on reparations.


Ta-Nehisi Coates, Danny Glover, Sen. Cory Booker and various other activists spoke at the hearing. So did race-baiting Bishop Eugene Taylor Sutton from Maryland. Bishop Sutton argued that white people need to pay reparations to black people to save their souls from damnation.
But the Republican panelists stole the show. Former NFL great Burgess Owens called for the Democrat Party to be held accountable for reparations.
Burgess Owens: “I used to be a Democrat until I did my history and found out the misery that that party brought to my race… Let’s pay restitution. How about the Democratic Party pay for all the misery brought to my race…“
