Hoyer says Congress may not be able to patch AMT

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) hinted Tuesday that Congress may not be able to stop a big tax increase from hitting 23 million Americans.

Hoyer, pressed on whether Congress would resolve disputes over the Alternative Minimum Tax (AMT), said, “Maybe.â€

IF BUSH, a republican, would seal the friggin borders - FOLLOW FEDERAL LAWS regarding illegal immigration, STOP his wars and foreign intervention..

we wouldn't need to raise taxes.

Plain and simple.

Do not blame the dems for the policy of our current administration and its blatant and irresponsible spending.

Yes, if we haven't admitted to ourselves by now that the Republicans are in this as much as any democrat, we are lost.

We have had a Republican administration now for some time. Some of our Republican lawmakers have been up there for years. They have had ample time to do something about this - if that was their intention.

Please, please, we must stop with the Rep/Dem type thing. That's their way of keeping us divided. There is no difference in the two. In the big things, they have the exact same agenda - it's only the rhetoric and small pet projects that are different.
