Tell me again why people continue to support Hollywood?

Disposable income? Discretionary spending?


How much money is spent on entertainment? How much money LEAVES your community and goes to Hollywood, Madison Ave., or Wall St. ?

When you buy a product locally you support your local community. A couch bought locally can be sold as a used sofa and some of the money recouped. The same with a hay baler. A hammer and box of tools. A physical product, whatever.

Entertainment dollars leave your pocket, your community and do not return! There is nothing tangible to resell, hand down, or inheiret. It is money transfered with mere memories of idiots dancing in people's minds. There is nothing tangible.

Multiply that nationally and how much money was transfered out of the community, with nothing left to show?

End of rant.

What it really amounts to is the expectation some Latinos have that extra public services to match any increase in numbers should come out of the hide of the Anglos. If the benefits for DREAMers were seen to come out of nuestros cueros as well there would not be anywhere as much support.
