Islamic Group Announces List Of Demands To Protect Muslims In America

Posted on February 18, 2015 by Brandon Walker

An Islamic group, that is an unindicted co-conspirator to terrorist funding by the FBI and a terrorist organization, just demanded an exemption from Anti-Jihad prosecution for all Muslims, even if they are caught associating with known terrorists.

The Islamic group, known throughout the world for terrorist ties to groups like Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood, is now pushing for the Department of Justice (DOJ) to make new rules and policies that would shield all Muslim political leaders and clerics from being charged or indicted for connections to Jihad. The Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) published part of their demands, entitled “countering violent extremism” (CVE), just ahead of a three-day White House meeting to discuss federal efforts to mitigate the jihadi violence that is emerging from the surge of Muslim immigrants to the United States, many under Presidential and UN resettlement programs, sending thousands of Muslims to the U.S. from places like Syria and Somalia.

Calling themselves “America’s largest Muslim civil liberties and advocacy organization,” CAIR actually demand such things as:

“DOJ policies should make clear that those who intervene to help others should not suffer for it by being subjected to prosecution, watchlisting, or surveillance because of their association with a potential violent extremist.” (CAIR Brief)

Even though association with a known terrorist is probable cause for ANY citizen of the United States to come under surveillance, CAIR is actually demanding Muslims not be prosecuted or be under surveillance when caught associating with extremists because of their Muslim faith. Perhaps it is because they expect Americans to believe this lie:

“The Department of Justice should issue guidelines, similar to Good Samaritan laws, to protect those who act in good faith to prevent violent extremism by engaging with those considering it in order to dissuade them.” (CAIR Brief)

We are being led to believe that they are just giving money, support, talking with, and even directing people to join those causes because they are doing it “in order to dissuade them.” I’m not buying that explanation and neither should you.

They even have the guts to blame law enforcement tactics, such as the use of informants and use of surveillance on individuals who have been caught in association with potential terrorists and that gained the approval of judges to conduct search and surveillance warrants. Never mind this is the very basis of search and seizure laws.

“To be effective, any conversation related to CVE should include a discussion of overbroad surveillance by the NSA and FBI, use of informants in places of worship and other community gathering places without evidence of wrongdoing, and other problematic law enforcement tactics.” (CAIR)
CAIR is even so proud as to announce they will be repeating their list of demands in front of a press conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota, using self-proclaimed “leaders” of the Somalia refugees on February 24.

With President Obama already enforcing demand #2, “U.S. government entities should discuss violent extremist threats in proportionate, nonexistential terms,” should we expect him not to cave on the rest? Did we expect anything less than a list of demands from a group that even admitted “Islam and American democracy may disagree on some things” while trying to categorize stoning a homosexual and beating your wives in Sharia as “minor” disagreements?
