Did You Know Liberal Federal Common Core Education Guidelines Are Behind Major Proposed Changes to the SAT & ACT Exams?

You’ve most likely heard of Common Core as the Federal education guidelines that make students answer math questions using confusing and unneeded steps. You’re likely also familiar with the regulations as the entity behind introducing students to various ineffective Liberal principles as normative.
One of Common Core’s signature developers is David Coleman, who also happens to be the President of The College Board, the company that develops the SAT which many students take to get into college.
Mr. Coleman recently announced the need to change both the SAT and ACT, the country’s other primary college entrance exam, stating:
“[The SAT AND ACT tests] have become disconnected from the work of our high schools.”
However, the real story is what’s motivating the changes, not the changes themselves.
According to The Atlantic, the SAT and ACT are being changed to reflect Common Core education guidelines in an effort to force schools to teach to the tests or risk negatively impacting students during the college admissions process.
The New York Times, The Chronicle, and Inside Higher Education, all say Mr. Coleman has played a role in developing K-12 Common Core Standards used by most states who’ve implemented Common Core.
However, those sources barely discuss “how the standards are driving the College Board—as well as the ACT—to change their product,” reports The Atlantic.
According to The Atlantic:
“ACT recently announced the launch of new assessments for grades 3-8 that are explicitly designed to assess the Common Core standards…
When Coleman became president of the College Board back in 2012, after his work developing the Common Core, he stated his goal for moving the SAT to better reflect those standards. On Wednesday, Education Week described in detail how the new changes to the SAT align with the Common Core—and presented an excellent side-by-side comparison of the SAT and Common Core that illustrates how Coleman’s goal will become a reality.”
If you see this clear conflict of interest and you recognize that Common Core is Liberal indoctrination tool being imposed on America’s public schools, you can act now to let Congress know you don’t think states should be threatened with funding penalties for not adopting Common Core.
You can sign the petition below and be part of the 50,000 Americans needed to hand deliver these petitions to House and Senate Leaders to let them know you support state’s rights in education.
