What is causing this?

Back when it was growing, a few weeks ago, I couldn't figure it out then either.

I asked someone who might have an inkling. This person had actually worked for the stock exchange, as a stockbroker for another company and had worked for two 'major financial corporations'. Not an expert, but someone who might have some insight.

This person said, the stock market is growing because of the prospect of war.

But think about it, even if we don't go to war, if the politicians and news media can keep up the hysteria and frighten the people, they can spend more money on 'defense' and how can anyone be upset about that? How good is that for Wall Street?

We reached 3% growth at the end of the 2nd Qtr.
