HIDALGO - Customs officers at the Hidalgo-Reynosa Bridge seized about 100 gallons of diesel fuel that an Edinburg man was allegedly trying to illegally import into the country Sunday.

About 4:15 p.m. Sunday, officers from U.S. Customs and Border Protection ordered a 22-year-old Edinburg man and a male relative into secondary inspection. While there, customs officers discovered about 100 gallons of diesel fuel inside the tank in the bed of the pickup truck.

The driver was charged with failing to declare commercial use fuel and received a $400 fine.

But he was just trying to get to work to feed his family.....it's just so unfair that Mexico has cheap gas and we don't. It's our world and we have the right to cross borders and do what we want to get what we need. LOL being sarcastic.
