    That is

That is a Big Fat Lie to try and align themselves with the demonstrators.

The U S and Israel wanted nothing of this sort to happen as it will only destabilize the region completely in a domino effect and take away control of Egypt from the U S and Israel.

I really doubt this is true. The risk to the US is to great to put down the current regime which would w/o the assistance of those who were in power create a high risk of the Muslim Brotherhood taking over which would be devastating for the US in the region. To prevent that the US would have had to get involved openly to put forth the US choice for a new regime with a number of troops to keep it in power during a transition.

Simply put, at this time the risk would be to great to the US to be pushing for a regime change. Way way to high of a risk.

Mubarak plans to install his son as his successor and his speech to the Egyptian people on Saturday reportedly did not satisfy their demand for government reform.
    Reminds me of North Korea.

The Egyptian people are taking back their country and for that I applaude them.

I hope they chose well when they decide on the new path for their government.
