Sen. Hillary Clinton took a commanding lead over Sen. Barack Obama in El Paso County's Democratic presidential primary.

With all El Paso precincts reporting, 69 percent of the total votes counted so far have been for Clinton, while Obama has 29 percent. These figures are for El Paso County only.

"I liked her because she told us in El Paso that we were important," said Patricia Nuñez, who voted at Mesita Elementary on Tuesday. "She came here and sent her husband and daughter. Obama didn't do that."

Clinton also led throughout South Texas and the Texas-Mexico border, taking the state 51 percent to Obama's 48 percent.

Obama's support was strongest in the urban areas of Dallas, Austin and Houston, according to The Associated Press.

So could there be racism "claimed" on this vote? Large percent of hispanics (obviously) and home of Reyes who has at least one daughter who was linked to the non-functional camera system in the past BUT was "cleared" of any implications.
