Birthplace lawyer turned down by Supreme Court

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas has rejected Laguna Niguel attorney Orly Taitz’s request for a stay of the $20,000 sanction against her for courtroom misconduct. This is the latest in the legal drama of Taitz, a failed secretary of state candidate best known for efforts to prove that Barack Obama is not a natural-born citizen and so is ineligible to be president.

A Georgia judge fined her in October, calling saying that one of her briefs was [b]“breathtaking in its arrogance and borders on delusional.â€
