According to veteran journalist Jim Tucker, during a recent meeting in London, several elitists shared the sentiment that a mid-east war targeting Iran and Syria could be on the agenda for the secretive Bilderberg Group's 2013 confab.

"War in the Middle East has been on the minds of Bilderberg members," states the report, referring to an exchange between Vernon E. Jordan Jr. and another attendee about Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's increasing hostility towards Iran. Jordan, a Bilderberg regular, is the Senior Managing Director with Lazard Freres & Co. LLC, an investment banking firm. He also sits on the board of directors of numerous large corporations, including American Express, J.C. Penney Corporation, Asbury Automotive Group and the Dow Jones & Company.

"It doesn't matter if it's true or not, when Bennie boy gets mad about anything, it is directed at Iran and adds to the potential for war," Jordan reportedly said, adding, "The more Bennie Boy gets mad at Iran, the better the chances for a really big Mideast war."

As a shadowy collection of the world’s power brokers gathers in Chantilly, Virginia, for the elite Bilderberg conference this weekend under unprecedented media scrutiny, activists from across the political spectrum are arguing that U.S. citizens attending the controversial confab are potentially committing a felony by violating the Logan Act. And while the chances of charges being brought anytime soon are probably slim, anti-Bilderberg protesters admit, more than a few critics of the meeting are still loudly calling for federal prosecutions to bring any and all perpetrators to justice.

The yearly gathering includes media magnates, titans of industry, top bankers, influential politicians, royalty and nobility, prominent academics, military and “intelligence” chieftains, and many other members of the so-called “global elite.” And the 2012 conference is no different. According to a guest list released by the group — which analysts who study Bilderberg say typically omits certain key participants — there are about 50 Americans in attendance, all of them extraordinarily influential. Other participants hailed mostly from Europe, though even a high-ranking official from the Communist dictatorship ruling China was in attendance this year.

The legal problem raised by critics is that federal law specifically bars any U.S. citizen without government permission from working with foreign officials on matters of policy. Passed under the John Adams administration in 1799, the Logan Act was amended as recently as the 1990s and, despite almost never being used, remains on the books today. And that, Bilderberg opponents say, means that Americans meeting with foreign officials at the secretive gathering should be investigated and eventually prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

The Logan Act states, in part: “Any citizen of the United States, wherever he may be, who, without authority of the United States, directly or indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government or any officer or agent thereof, with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof, in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.”

Numerous bloggers and activists have suggested that, based just on what is known already from public statements, simply attending a Bilderberg meeting should constitute sufficient grounds for immediate arrest and investigation of Americans. At least one activist and commentator, Brian D. Hill, has already notified police of the potential violation at what he described to law enforcement as the “criminal gathering” in Virginia. It was not immediately clear whether authorities looked into the matter.

“This is illegal,” popular radio-host Alex Jones, famous for using a bullhorn to lambaste elite attendees from afar, was quoted as saying by the U.K. Guardian newspaper as he led chanting “Occupy Bilderberg” protesters outside the gathering. “Government officials meeting and discussing policy with private interests in secret, or representatives of other governments, is a violation of the Logan Act."

Protesters gathered outside the Westfields Marriot hotel where the Bilderberg meeting is underway also demanded prosecutions, calling on police to arrest the participants for everything from violations of the Logan Act to involvement in war crimes, mass murder, conspiracy, and more. Other activists carried signs urging law enforcement officials to take action against what critics consistently refer to as a gathering of “criminals.”

“All of them are in violation of the law and should be arrested immediately," noted liberty-minded analyst Kurt Nimmo in a piece declaring that the meeting was itself illegal. “Considering their other crimes — war, mass murder, the theft of trillions and other assorted monumental scams and felonies — violating the Logan Act pales in comparison. It would be nice, though, if one or two of the cops now surrounding the Marriott in Chantilly marched into the meeting and arrested a few of the traitors.”

In online forums, blog posts, and the comment sections of news articles all across the internet, commentators outraged about alleged Logan Act violations and the secret meeting more broadly also demanded that American attendees be arrested. Some even pondered what would happen if a brave public official decided to risk an attempt at actually enforcing the law.

“Considering the Logan Act is still on the books, the participation of government officials at Bilderberg is blatantly illegal,” noted a commenter on an online forum of dedicated Rep. Ron Paul supporters, wondering what would happen if Virginia Gov. Robert McDonnell decided to arrest the participants. “We have the complete list of attendants, so, in a just world, it would not be difficult to prosecute these criminals.”

Last year, Rep. Paul himself called for an investigation and noted that U.S. officials participating in the yearly gathering — specifically Texas Gov. Rick Perry — were quite possibly breaking the law. “This information about him going over there and violating the Logan Act and getting involved, I’m just impressed that that’s in the ordinary media — I think that’s encouraging, too,” Paul said during an interview on talk radio, noting that Gov. Perry’s attendance was “a sign that he’s involved in the international conspiracy.”

But while the potential Logan Act violations were generally overlooked in most of the U.S. press, foreign reporters and news outlets did mention it — especially in, bizarrely enough, Russia. “The Bilderberg Conference may have been largely ignored by the media in decades past, but with this year’s gathering garnering perhaps the most attention in recent memory, the actions of elected US officials this time could end up being enough to bring charges against them,” reported the Kremlin-funded RT broadcaster.

Even Pravda ran an online column attacking the meeting and the alleged law breaking going on there. “The Bilderbergs are people who say they are helping humanity so they can make a buck, but are as arrogant as Lucifer and no more sympathetic than he is towards mankind,” wrote Xavier Lerma, claiming that the “Communists took over” America decades ago. “Why is the Bilderberg meeting a big deal. Well, for one thing it is illegal under the Logan Act which makes their New World Order illegal.”

There were more than a few Americans directly tied to government in attendance at this year’s gathering. Among them: NSA chief General Keith Alexander; Thomas Donilon, Obama’s National Security Adviser; former U.S. National Security Adviser and “New World Order” promoter Henry Kissinger; failed GOP Presidential hopeful and former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman; Senator John Kerry (D-Mass.); World Bank boss Robert Zoellick; Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) Co-Chair and former Treasury Secretary Robert Rubin; and many others.

Outside of government – at least officially – were other important U.S. players in global affairs. Banking, media, industry, tax-exempt foundations, internet, and many other fields were represented. Some of the American attendees included Michael Evans, the vice chairman of Goldman Sachs; Reid Hoffman, the co-founder and executive chairman of the social-networking site LinkedIn; Environmental Defense Fund President Fred Krupp; Dow Chemical chief Andrew Liveris; Carnegie Endowment boss Jessica Mathews; Washington Post CEO Donald Graham, Craig Mundie, Chief Research and Strategy Officer for Microsoft; Wall Street Journal columnist Peggy Noonan; Citigroup Vice Chairman Peter Orszag; Arch neo-conservative Richard Perle with the American Enterprise Institute; media icon Charlie Rose; Eric Schmidt, the executive chairman of Google; and many more.

Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels also appeared at the gathering briefly, leading Bilderberg commentators to speculate that he may have been vetted or groomed for future positions of influence, including possibly the Vice President slot on a Mitt Romney GOP ticket. Daniels apparently left early and returned to Indiana on Friday, local media reported. Posters on Twitter also cited the Logan Act while blasting his attendance.

“The Conference will deal mainly with political, economic and societal issues like Transatlantic Relations, Evolution of the Political Landscape in Europe and the US, Austerity and Growth in Developed Economies, Cyber Security, Energy Challenges, the Future of Democracy, Russia, China and the Middle East,” claimed an official press release by the controversial group, founded more than 50 years ago by Nazi SS member Prince Bernhard of Holland and others. “The meeting is private in order to encourage frank and open discussion.... At the meetings, no resolutions are proposed, no votes taken, and no policy statements issued.”

At least two anti-Bilderberg protesters have been arrested for alleged “jaywalking” and “disorderly conduct.” But with Attorney General Eric Holder and his Justice Department already under fire for allegedly lying under oath, obstructing congressional investigations, unlawfully defying subpoenas, shipping American guns to Mexican cartels, and laundering drug money, activists are not optimistic about the chances of Bilderberg attendees being charged with a federal offense anytime soon.

The Logan Act
“Any citizen of the United States, wherever he may be, who, without authority of the United States, directly or indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government or any officer or agent thereof, with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof, in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both…”
To be absolutely clear –Any citizen without United States authority who speaks intentionally of influence with foreign government officials about disputes or controversies any country has with America shall be fined and imprisoned.
Americans attending the Bilderberg conference in Chantilly, Virginia this past weekend violated the Logan Act. Given this is America these individuals are innocent until proven guilty, however that is a process for the courts. Each American citizen attending the meeting should prove to a jury of his or her peers that in fact they did not engage discussion with foreign government officials with the intent to influence the conduct of that foreign government in the context of an existing dispute or controversy with the United States. It is not up to executive branch officials, legislators, police, military or media to decide their guilt or innocence –it is up to the courts. That being said, it seems clear sufficient probable cause, motive and opportunity exists to issue arrest warrants.
Historical Origins of the Logan Act
The Logan Act all begins with a treaty between America and Britain called the Jay Treaty. You can research the contents and reasons behind the Jay Treaty on your own, it is only important here to understand that it angered the French who had been a staunch ally of America since the 1778 Treaty of Alliance. America had declared neutrality in the conflict between Britain and France and the Jay Treaty violated that neutrality. Pouring salt into that wound America also refused to re-pay debts owed to France, suggesting the debt was owed to the French monarchy and not to the newly founded Republic of France. The French were furious and began seizing American trade ships and refused to accept an American ambassador to negotiate. This spurred the Quasi-War.
Along comes a physician, farmer and future United States Senator named George Logan. As the founder of the Democratic-Republican society in 1793 he was not well liked by the coalescing and strengthening Federalist Party who lusted for an American central bank. In 1798, Logan travelled to Paris and met with the infamous French diplomat Charles “lame devil” Talleyrand and former exile Philippe Merlin de Douai, who held the highest political office in the new French republic. Like modern American Bilderberg participants Logan identified himself as merely an American citizen and like modern Bilderberg meetings they discussed matters of general dispute, controversy and interest to the French foreign power.
George Logan reported an expanding American anti-French sentiment, while he insisted that he did not intend to explain America’s position nor criticize French positions. He was merely there to discuss general matters emanating from the controversy and dispute evident in the mutual relations between France and America. The success of Logan’s trip is largely due to the timing as the French were anxious to extricate themselves from foreign entanglement to focus on domestic issues. Only days after Logan’s departure American seamen held in French jails were released and the trade embargo was lifted. Praise was showered upon Logan by Democratic-Republican newspapers and this drew the ire of the dominant Federalist Party.
Then Secretary of State Timothy Pickering, charged with conducting the nation’s foreign policy, suggested to Congress that they act to curb individual interference with sovereign foreign affairs. With very little debate the Logan Act glided through the Federalist majority House and Senate. George Logan would become a United States Senator representing Pennsylvania from 1801 to 1807. Irony would later see George Logan dispatched on an unsuccessful private diplomatic mission to avoid the War of 1812. So, the Logan Act was historically conceived by a Secretary of State to protect the State Departments authority.
Today the State Department allows their responsibility to be hi-jacked by foreign lobbyists, corporate interests, privately conceived and controlled “think tanks,” and international legislative bodies such as the United Nations. This is the very premise for convening the annual Bilderberg meeting and the corresponding premise for the Logan Act. The mainstream media facilitates the dilution of sovereign American foreign policy by ignoring the facts and history, disguising it with misguided articles that place the word “conspiracy,” or by suggesting nothing tangible is being accomplished.
The Case for Arrest
Most arrests occur after carefully resolving three primary issues. These three issues are probable cause, motive and opportunity. The nature of the Bilderberg Group as a means to foster cooperation on political, economic, and defense issues juxtaposed with the Logan Act’s stated goal to prevent unauthorized American citizens from mingling with foreign officials to resolve commonly perceived controversy and dispute within and between societies –is the probable cause.
The American citizens who attended this meeting, in a private capacity, with a wide swath of foreign officials appeared on a list issued by the Bilderberg Group itself. The nexus of individuals and their collective power and wealth speaks volumes about the motive. Motive is evident as all reasonable people have no doubt these American citizen-foreign official discussions concerned disputes and outstanding controversies. It is not hard to extrapolate the implications of this conduct, collaboration to change each others societies in accordance with the collective elite agenda. Indeed great motive exists for profit, influence, power and secrecy. Secrecy is essential, especially for those Americans committing felonies under the Logan Act.
Foreign citizens and officials would not fly annually to America and other nations for the Bilderberg meeting if they did not intend to dispute at least one American political, economic, and defense issue as controversial. The opportunity to court a self-appointed American elite citizen to discuss the patrons underlying dispute or controversy is the point of meeting. The very nature of the Bilderberg meeting is motive enough for making arrest one step closer to reasonable. The ultimate motive is the formation of a new world order under a central global government and currency, in which these elites and their progeny will take up various power positions within the ivory tower.
We all witnessed the opportunity as the patriotic independent press descended upon the nest of felonious Americans taking the opportunity to resolve their global comrade’s outstanding disputes. The opportunity to violate the Logan Act was taken from May 31-June 3, 2012 by the following American citizens. They do have the right to remain silent, but they better consider if they were authorized by the United States to speak with intention to influence foreign government officials about disputes or controversies. It can be said then the following are without alibi.

A Secret Cabal
Attendance by American executive and legislative representatives allows for placement of these individuals in positions of power in return for deep cutting influence into legislative and executive action. Academics allow for the expert advice needed to craft legislative language and legitimize the resulting actionable agenda. Intelligence officials provide access to a military and intelligence spying apparatus to track and tamp dissenters. Internet information giants attend to share demographics and human intelligence data. Media moguls control the media spin and the impact of the dissenter’s response by flooding news headlines with non-Bilderberg information or using the word conspiracy as much as possible. Banker tycoons stand by ready to finance any and all emanating contracts necessary to resolve disputes and controversies surrounding political, economic or defense related issues. Federal Reserve super-predators swirl around smiling at the potential for printing all this new money.
Notice few of these organizations are sending low-level organizational actors, indeed this is the cream of the crud. The importance of each of these attendees within the organizational structure speaks to the impetus for keeping the meeting secret. The unfortunate historic weak interpretation of the Logan Act has yet to strike fear in any of them. Inherent in these cabal connections is their ability to hire top-level attorneys that would fight a conviction brought by the Logan Act. Secrecy in tandem with cabal style meetings is essential to ensuring foreign collaborators disputes and controversial inputs concerning the direction of American foreign policy can be converted into “legitimate” legislation to effect the American trajectory.
Upon being arrested, their discussions with foreign officials should be evaluated by a judge and jury to determine if they included American disputes and controversies. It is important to understand these are only the Americans foolish enough to allow their name to be included on the list, thus this list is not exhaustive. If you and I attended a meeting with this many foreign officials we would at least be subjected to arrest, perhaps not convicted, but most definitely arrested.
You Can’t Have America
We already have three think tanks that meet. They are called the Legislative Branch, the Executive Branch and the Judicial Branch. These branches guide our State Department and these individuals are tasked with conducting our foreign policy. Within each of these structures we have scholars attached and ample opportunity and brainpower to consider the foreign and domestic policies of America. All of these branches have at their disposal anytime they should need it the expertise of American corporations. The red-headed step-child agitator in the room is named the Federal Reserve. It is these evil global central banker currents that thrash our three branches of American government against the rocks. Insisting and facilitating elitist global comrades to shape society and feed the step-siblings voracious appetite for printing money to engorge on interest.
Local police officials and federal trolls were focused on arresting people impeding traffic even though their police cruisers were in fact impeding traffic. When they should have been arresting every single American inside the Marriot engaged in the stated Bilderberg goal of resolving foreign official disputes and controversies pertaining to sovereign American political, economic, and defense issues. Mostly police and civil disturbance officers stood around with blood-thirsty scowls, confused by normalcy bias that reassured and internally justified their anger. It remains to be determined what expense was incurred by the Fairfax county police department and Federal law enforcement. Public Information requests will be filed to determine what the cost turns out to be.
The Westfield Marriott must have made a petty fortune providing the cave for these elitist jackals, while more than a thousand dedicated patriots howled at the cave entrance. The officially released agenda of the prestigious Bilderberg club meeting is not true, claims RT show host Daniel Estulin, a longtime watcher of the ‘secret world govt’ group. He says he obtained the real agenda for this year’s gathering in Copenhagen.
An insider leaked the list of talking points for the ongoing Bilderberg conference to the investigative journalist last week, he said. The list has nine items, seven of which he shared:

1. Nuclear diplomacy and the deal with Iran currently in the making.
The club has long been cautious of a possible alliance between Russia, China and Iran. The deal that would lift Western pressure from the Islamic Republic over its nuclear program would affect this possibility.

2. Gas deal between Russia and China.
It came amid a serious political crisis in Ukraine, which threatens Russia’s supply of natural gas to European nations. Moscow has diversified its gas trade by sealing a long-term contract with Beijing. Potentially, China may replace the EU as the prime energy trade partner for Russia, a situation which strengthens Moscow’s position in Ukraine by undermining Washington’s effort to isolate Russia and Kiev’s leverage through its control of transit gas pipelines.

3. Rise of nationalist moods in Europe.
The agenda was formed before the latest European Parliament elections, which cast a spotlight on the trend. Populist eurosceptic parties are winning the hearts of Europeans from the UK to Greece to Hungary, dealing a blow to the union’s unity. A nationally driven and divided Europe would be reluctant to take globalization for granted.



4. EU internet privacy regulations.
Edward Snowden’s exposure of the scale of electronic surveillance on the part of the US National Security Agency and its allies worldwide sparked a major protest from privacy-seeking people. European politicians can’t ignore the calls to protect people’s communication from snooping, which potentially makes data collection more difficult. At least not immediately, as indicated by the apparent scaling down of Germany’s investigation into the NSA’s alleged surveillance.

5. Cyberwarfare and its potential effect on internet freedoms.
The destructive potential of cyber attacks is growing rapidly as reliance on the internet in all aspects of life rises. But the threat of state-sponsored hacker attacks is what some governments may use as a pretext for clamping down on the internet, undermining its role as a medium for the sake of security.

6. From Ukraine to Syria, Barack Obama’s foreign policy.
Critics of the US president blame him for betraying America’s leadership overseas, citing failures to defend American interests in Syria and lately in Ukraine. Obama’s newly announced doctrine calls on scaling down reliance on military force and using diplomacy and collective action instead. Bilderberg members will discuss whether this policy is doomed.

7. Climate change.
This is a regular topic for many high-ranking discussions, not only the Bilderberg conference in Denmark. People suspicious of the elites call climate change a euphemism for the artificial deindustrialization of some nations, with the goal of keeping the global economy under the control of transnational corporations and the expense of potential hubs of economic growth.
The Bilderberg Group is a six-decades-old club for some of the world’s most influential individuals, politicians, officials, businessmen, academics and European royalty, regularly gathering to discuss global policy issues. Critics accuse them of acting as a shadow unelected government, would-be rulers of the world, which take decisions affecting billions of people behind closed doors, with little regard for the needs or wishes of the general population.



In an apparent bid to dissipate these accusations, this time Bilderberg made its official agenda public. Among the 12 topics for this year’s conference were “the new architecture of the Middle East,” “Ukraine” and “The future of democracy and the middle class trap.”

The National Security Agency is collecting millions of images via social media and private communications to use in a facial recognition system, according to new leaked documents from whistleblower Edward Snowden. Saturday, journalists James Risen and Laura Poitras published an article in The New York Times detailing an increasingly complex facial recognition system used by the spy agency. Also included in the documents are mentions of plans to use iris scans to compliment the program. Discussing these latest NSA revelations with RT's Lindsay France is John Whitehead, president of The Rutherford Institute.
