FORT WORTH -- The explosive devices found in the back of a pickup Saturday after a chase and the closing of Southeast Loop 820 for hours were pipe bombs, FBI spokesman Mark White said Monday. The Fort Worth bomb squad disabled the devices, which investigators with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are still examining, White said. Kimberly Al-Homsi, 45, and Yasinul Ansari, 18, both of Arlington, were arrested and are expected to appear before a federal judge in Fort Worth today. The incident began about 5 p.m. Saturday when a motorist called 911 to say that a weapon had been pointed at him from a passing vehicle. Arlington police tried to pull over a pickup matching the description the caller gave, but the driver refused to stop, and a chase began, police have said. Al-Homsi's criminal history includes possession of a fake grenade and possession of prohibited weapons, according to Tarrant County criminal court records.
