In my book The Rise of Tyranny I explain that FDA has become a captive of the drug industry and that repeatedly its Commissioner approves drugs over the safety objections of FDA medical reviewers. I believe there are NO 100% safe drugs. Even taking an aspirin has its risks. The more serious the illness, the more severe side effects can be expected from the drug. That said, every time I pick up a prescription, the druggest staples the drug insert, with all possible side effects, right to the bag. We owe it to ourselves to read the insert and ask questions of our doctors. I have a reaction to several antibiotics, and make sure that every health care provider knows about it. I even asked the pharmacist to make a note of it.
