    Instead of a long-term payment increase Social Security will give out a one-time $250 payout in 2010. The government, says Gerald Celente from the Trends Research Institute, is bribing people ahead of midterm elections.

    And since all subsequent pay increases are based on current pay....the elderly get ripped off forever. They pay increases are a percent of the current payment. So by not getting an increase this year, all increases in future years will be less.
