The crime rate in Washington, D.C., is off the charts, and yet Matthew Graves, the Biden regime's top prosecutor, is fixated on rounding up January 6 "insurrectionists."The latest data shows that hardened criminals are walking free while grandmas and grandpas who were caught "wander[ing] around the Capitol with a police escort," as Revolver puts it, are being targeted like "domestic terrorists," which in turn is artificially inflating the number of "domestic terrorist" incidents currently on the books.
D.C. Crime Facts reported that Graves – an unelected prosecutor, by the way – declined to prosecute an astounding 33 percent of all gun cases in the district. He also dropped 37 percent of charged cases and reduced 50 percent of felony convictions to mere misdemeanors, typically by offering generous "golden ticket" plea bargains.
While 92 percent of cases are resolved by plea bargains, reducing serious felony charges to misdemeanors is a whole different animal and one that Americans need to know about, especially as J6 "offenders" are being prosecuted as if they were serial killers.

Washington, D.C., in case you did not know, is one of the most crime-ridden cities in America – and we are talking just in terms of street crimes and not the white-collar crimes happening just about every second of every day inside government buildings on Capitol Hill.
Compared to 2018 data, Graves today is prosecuting less than half as many felony convictions for Carrying a Pistol Without a License, this being an obvious policy choice to go soft on this particular crime.
"In the meantime, innocent civilians are being attacked by emboldened criminals – many of whom are specifically targeting white people, including white toddlers, as in this recent case involving a black thug named Gregory Gibson, who told a 4-year-old white child to sit down and that he was going to kill him," Revolver reported.
It turns out that Graves is on a "MAGA hunt" whereby he is more concerned with targeting Trump supporters who were at the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, than with keeping the streets of D.C. safe for residents and visitors alike.
It is election season, after all, which means the time is ripe to push the "domestic terrorist" narrative on anyone who opposes Joe Biden or any other career criminal for the White House.

Sorry but Matthew Graves is too busy rounding up J6ers and using his best prosecutors to coerce defendants into plea deals or get them convicted by a DC jury so DOJ can juice their domestic terror numbers before the election.

I criticize Mayor Bowser a lot but on gun violence by far the biggest bottleneck is the United States Attorney's Office (USAO). DC is fighting gun violence with one hand tied behind our back because the USAO declined, dropped or pled down 2,262 gun cases over the last 2 years.
