Massachusetts Miracle: Republicans May Win Senate Special Election For Kennedy's Seat
Cap-and-Trade, Obama's tax-and-spend policies, and the entire balance of the US Senate including health-care is at stake in a Massachusetts special election on January 19 to fill Ted Kennedy's US Senate seat.
Republicans were given no chance of willing the election but the lead has narrowed and one poll shows Republican candidate Scott Brown now leading Democratic candidate Martha Coakley.
With so much at stake, inquiring minds are deeply interested in Toss Up In Massachusetts. http://publicpolicypolling.blogspot.com ... setts.html
The Massachusetts Senate race is now a toss up.
Buoyed by a huge advantage with independents and relative disinterest from Democratic voters in the state, Republican Scott Brown leads Martha Coakley 48-47.
Brown has eye popping numbers with independents, sporting a 70/16 favorability rating with them and holding a 63-31 lead in the horse race with Coakley. Health care may be hurting Democratic fortunes with that group, as only 27% of independents express support for Obama's plan with 59% opposed.
In a trend that's going to cause Democrats trouble all year, voters disgusted with both parties are planning to vote for the one out of power.
When In Doubt, Vote Them Out
The choice is a no brainer in favor of Brown.
I cannot find evidence that Scott Brown is a sound money candidate, but he does have a common sense approach to free market issues elsewhere.
