Thread: Is there a trick to uploading avatars?

I tried to upload several different avatars, all within the pixel and kilobyte limits, and was unable to get my avatar to be displayed. I tried uploading from my hard disk and from an image hosted on one of my Internet accounts without success. I know some boards require a member to have a certain number of posts before they can do certain things like have an avatar or start a thread, but I didn't see such restrictions here.

So what am I doing wrong?

Mine work fine . I upload mine on http://imageshack.us/ then copy the direct link to image code to the website blank . Update and your off and running.

Just to tell you there's no tricks. But I had some troubles getting a new Avatar up. For some strange reason. Sometimes you don't have troubles getting them loaded. But sometimes you do.

Seriously though, sounds like you are doing it right. We had some problems with Avatars not too long ago. Maybe something is up with that again??

I even put in the URLs of all three of your avatars, and it still didn't work. If I select one from the gallery it stays there, but I can't upload from disk or point to a graphic on the Internet. Weird. Maybe I'll try it later.

It appears there is a glitch with the avatars. You're not the only one having problems.
