The Flea Party’s Uphill Battle
The Flea Party’s Uphill Battle

…To many top Democrats the OWS {Occupy Wall Street} crew looks like a winning candidate as the answer to the Tea Party. Except that it isn’t. The Tea Party is comprised of working Americans who want the government to get out of their faces. They are advocates for smaller governments with less spending and more mindful of the Constitution.
OWS, on the other hand, is largely comprised of neutered, over-educated and useless losers, many of whom don’t even know why they’re demonstrating, except that it might wind up somehow providing them with free stuff. I dont think so i attended a OWS today in Frankfort Ky.There were techers ,firmen, police, 3 lawers state workers, construction workers, garbage collecters,National Guard Military, factory workers, car salesman, buisness owners, retired people like myself and many more about 250 people. They were against the goverment and wall street just like the tea party i attended in same place 2 years ago.I attended tea party they had a few working class people there mostly retiries like me must to have been around 75 people there and id say 30 was retired. They were shouting the same thing less goverment control, less spending, and take our country back.Chants today leess goverment, less spending, time to take our country back, but one more that tea party didnt its time to put the people of banks and wall street in jail that broke this country.I dont see much difference in OWS and tea party they all saying samething.

The banks only reacted from govt. pressure starting with the CRA. Janet Reno threaten to make life a hell for them if they didn't play along. As one economist said, it would be disastrous when a recession hit. Fanny and Freddy were at the heart of this and look at them....the weren't even mentioned in the financial reform act and the govt KEEPS pouring money into them and AGAIN is pressuring them to give out loans to unqualified people. Hard to believe, but they are actually trying to start the whole process over. Frank and Dodd should go to prison.

Agreed,I believe those who bring about the failure of our economy should be in jail , I won't hold my breath but a perp walk for these individuals who see themselves above the law would make us all have a better outlook.I'm old with many opinions few solutions.

duckman,
I get what you are saying about the similarities of the two groups. The diffence between the two is the outcome that they want.
I think that OWS has turned into one great big catered party and from what I am seeing on TV and video, a lot of old hippies that stayed in school and want to relive their youth in the good old protest days of the 60's. A laast hurrah so to speak. I think that a lot of these people are just being used.
Please read my post. this is not any kind of a grassroots, organic demonstrtion. these people planned it for months and took classes.
I am disgusted with the Unions, socialists and the Democrats.

Birds of a feather flock together, and it sure looks like molting time on Wall Street.
One more comment. While the OWS may have mentioned the desirability of smaller government and less spending, this is not what is being reported in the MSM. Their emphasis is on attacking banks and financial institutions. However, they never seem to mention that it was OBAMA and the Democrat controlled Congress (at the time) who bailed out those banks and financial institutions that were too big to fail."We have met the enemy, and they is us." - POGO

Your right Obama did bail them out,but wasnt Bush that took out the regulations to let them run wild and self destruct and ruin the country.OWS is not only against Obama their against the whole bunch in D.C. just like the tea party was.OWS WANTS TO GIVE MORE CONTORL TO THE PEOPLE,AND THE TEA PARTY WANTED TO GIVE MORE CONTROL TO THE PEOPLE.They both sides saying take our country back.No difference in opinion.
