I was listening to NPR the other day and learned that there is a lawsuit pending in Florida which was brought by a Florida resident against the state charging that Save Our Homes (the statute that caps annual property tax increases for homesteaded homes at 3 percent per year) is discriminatory against new Florida homeowners. According to NPR, a judge is reviewing the case. If the judge does strike down Save Our Homes, many Fl residents will be affected (both positively and negatively depending upon when you bought in FL).

I realize a judge struck down the property tax ballot initiative that was to be on January's ballot; however, this is a different lawsuit, and I don't hear any major Florida newspapers or news shows reporting on this. Has anyone else heard much of this?
