    Arkansas Under Martial Law!

Well it seems the powers that be are using crime as an excuse to test martial law in poor Arkansas neighborhoods. Who will be next?

    GREAT

Bullets shooting into my house; I pray the police in my locality would take action!

Local - Local - Local; everything starts local. If the police doesn't help this community, are we the people in America going to wait for the National Guard to help them.

The National Guard are in Iraq!

    BUT NOT ON OUR BORDERS!

A curfew for minors is not such a bad idea. But imposing a curfew on legal, law-abiding adults is definitely a step towards a fascist police state!!

    Shall we take a poll?

Who believes the election won't happen this year due to martial law being declared and voting put on an indefinite hold?
The flag flies at half-mast out of grief for the death of my beautiful, formerly-free America. May God have mercy on your souls.

That's been my belief for months now. Bush is a dictator. Why would he give up his thrown.

I think it is a great idea to protect the residents of the town. It is NOT martial law, as some are hysterically claiming. It is just a curfew to help curb crime in a high crime area.

I think this should be used more in high crime areas throughout the nation. We no longer are as tough on crime as we should be.

Then you should definitely stay in your home unless you have permission from the government to leave. While you're locked up in your house, you should study the Constitution and Bill Of Rights as you obviously do not know the difference between fascism and freedom...Unbelievable.

It's actually this type of ignorance that is to blame for most of the evil in the world.

Chicago probably. Blago already told Daley he'd let the national guard go in to help.

NO was the first major test now they will be using this across the country. I would defy the law with some good old fashioned civil disobedience and sue the city if arrested.

We are talking about a curfew -- that means NIGHTS usually. Curfews are employed in cities all over the US when there is high crime. I fail to see what your problem is and why you think it infringres on your rights -- unless you are a criminal who likes to be out a night shooting people.

I think you need to read the COnstitution - it says nothing about Curfews. They are a standard procedure, especially in cities, when the level of violence gets high.

I fail to understand your hysteria --

Spoken like a true communist. Freedom means no government can force people to be locked up in their homes, cannot check papers, cannot randomly question citizens, and so on and so on.

The Constitution doesn't need to say anything specifically about curfews, as it makes our rights of freedom very clear.

unless you are a criminal who likes to be out a night shooting people.
So you think all the people in these neighborhoods are criminals who like to be out at night shooting people. I'm sure they would take offense at your holier than thou beliefs.
