Back in 2018, multiple agencies of the U.S. federal government had intel that the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) was modifying and enhancing coronavirus strains to create pathogens of pandemic potential. This intel is known as the DEFUSE project, and several high-level officials at the Department of Defense knew that these nefarious projects were taking place.In fact, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) explicitly bypassed a moratorium on gain-of-function research, offshoring these unethical pursuits to the WIV through the work Peter Daszak at EcoHealth Alliance and Ralph Baric at the University of North Carolina.
The corporate media, including FoxNews, has covered this up for over four years, deriding independent journalists as “conspiracy theorists” for daring to document this nefarious, unethical money trail and expose this predatory research field.
Now, four years later, Fox News admits to the entire COVID origins criminal conspiracy and cover-up. If it wasn’t for Senator Rand Paul pushing for accountability on this issue, it’s very likely that no one would be called out for designing bioweapons that are genetically similar to COVID-19. If it wasn’t for whistleblower Marine Lt. Col. Joseph Murphy, then the DEFUSE project would have been kept hidden from the public.
Back in 2018, the WIV was proposing to design a COVID-19-like virus, yet no government official cared to reveal this scheme to the public. A total of 15 federal agencies had knowledge of the DEFUSE project, but each agency refused to release any information regarding this unethical research. None of the 15 federal agencies warned that a Chinese lab had plans to create a bioweapon, and none cared that the U.S. was willing to work with the Chinese on this development.
Making a bioweapon

The Defuse Project specifically proposed to insert a furin cleavage site into a coronavirus. The WIV sent scientists into bat caves to retrieve coronaviruses and therefore created a library of coronavirus strains. Scientists working under the DEFUSE project would have been able to create a novel chimeric coronavirus by inserting a furin cleavage site, and the resulting bioweapon would be similar to COVID-19.
After hearing about the DEFUSE proposal, each agency refused to warn the public, even after each agency was presented evidence that COVID-19 was disturbingly similar to DEFUSE’s proposed chimeric virus.
The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), headed by then Dr. Anthony Fauci, was listed as a participant in the initial DEFUSE proposal. In fact, Fauci’s Rocky Mountain Lab was listed as a partner right along with the WIV. The NIAID would eventually be briefed about the WIV’s plans to create this chimeric virus, but the briefing fell on deaf ears.
There was a concerted effort by Peter Daszak and Ralph Baric to conceal this proposal. In fact, Ralph Baric was named as a collaborator on the DEFUSE PROJECT. Both men refused to reveal that the WIV had plans to create a virus similar to COVID-19. Instead, they were part of a coverup. In the infamous journal paper, Proximal Origins, Dr. Anthony Fauci and Dr. Francis Collins led an effort to shut down any investigation into the laboratory origins of COVID-19. All these men knew about the DEFUSE project, but when it came time to alerting the public about potential laboratory origins of COVID-19, their lips remained sealed.
Daszak’s lab received millions of dollars to conduct gain-of-function research on coronaviruses, and was part of the original plan to create pathogens of pandemic potential, yet Fauci played stupid about it, when enacting COVID-19 lockdowns and shutting down dissent about the origins of COVID-19.
These men are all culpable for COVID-19 and must be held to account for working on bioweapons, for funding bioweapons overseas, for trying to coverup their nefarious, predatory research, and lying about it to the public, while pushing policies that censored, restricted and killed people under the guise of protecting them.
