70,000 now anticipated for Friends of America (Conservative) Rally, Labor Day, Holden WV
More Than 70,000 People to Attend Labor Day Rally in West Virginia

As more than 70,000 people have signed up to attend the Friends of America Rally, Holden, WV, is likely to be home to America’s largest Labor Day gathering. The free event, to be held on a previous surface mine, will feature country music stars Hank Williams Jr. and John Rich; Sean Hannity, a nationally-syndicated radio host and Fox television host; and Lord Christopher Monckton, a former science adviser to former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. American Legend Ted Nugent will emcee the event. Friends of America from 30 of the 50 states have signed up to attend the rally, which is being put on by more than 100 sponsors. To make the event happen, hundreds of concerned citizens from all over Appalachia are volunteering their time and hundreds of students from local schools will staff booths to raise money for extracurricular activities and sports teams. To provide entertainment to the diverse and growing crowd of all ages, a karaoke competition has been added for Saturday, September 5 from 3:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. for the area’s youth. Children from the ages of 8 to 18 are encouraged to participate. With the large number of participants registered, traffic is anticipated to be very heavy and guests are encouraged to come early. Parking areas will open at 6:00 a.m. and participants are encouraged to come between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. for the best parking areas. Due to the number of vehicles, carpooling is strongly encouraged. To help with traffic, several offsite parking areas are being designated and bus shuttle service will be provided.
