No, just as I told my friend Minnie when we discussed all sorts of things, that I have some problems with my IE. And that a reply can take some time. Damn, I hate Microsoft IE

I can't just type www.alipac.us and go to the site, I have to do it through google and type alipac, and when google finds the link, then I can click on it. Neither can I click on your link or my IE gets frozen, I can't download anything and neither can I open anything that opens in another window.

This is what I did with my stupid head.
I downloaded IE 7.0 and didn;t like it, and thought I could go back to 6.0 by just removing 7.0 from my system, but Microsoft doesn't allow you to switch back, and I probably removed also some parts of IE 6.0 when I tried to remove 7.0.

The strange thing is that I never got a recovery cd - rom for windows xp when I bought my laptop, they told that all recovery software is already installed. This is probably true, because my HD is usally 80 GB, but when I bought it, only 70 GB was available. 10 Gb is consumed by all the software. Internet still works, but it's a pain in the @ss. I will have it fixed by some illegal alien, he knows a lot about laptops, no just kidding, I'll just go to an software/ computer store.

I can still post on alipac and it works like it alwaysdid, but surfing to other sites takes time when I'veto usegoogle first, and when time consumes me, I've less time to post, but don't worry, I won't go away.

XP has a built in restore system so you can restore your PC back to a date before you had this problem.

Go to you "control Panel" click "systems" and on the system window in the top left corner you will see a "restore" button. Click "restore" and then click " set restore point " and then you will see a calander, Now pick how far back you want to set your computer,

You can also "undo" a restore if needed.

Oh hang on, when I go to control panel - software recovery I can select:

    Create Recovery Discs

    Restore Windows Only

    Reinstall applications & drivers

    Restore C Drive

    Restore Complete System

    Which one to choose ???

Yes, I think with the help of MKFARNAN that I can fix it.
The software says that no discs are included so it should be able to be solved without going to the store again.

    I can select:

    Create Recovery Discs

    Restore Windows Only

    Reinstall applications & drivers

    Restore C Drive

    Restore Complete System

I think I will restore windows only, it's just my IE that is giving me a hard time.

Thank you very much for your help, I really appreciate it ! I always thought that I needed discs, but this is what I was wrong about. Again, thank you
