Justina Pelletier has Finally been Freed!
Justina Pelletier has Finally been Freed!
By Onan Coca / 18 June 2014 / 22 Comments
For over a year the state of Massachusetts has held a young girl prisoner against her will and against the will of her family.
Today, Justina Pelletier has finally been freed from captivity by the criminal state of Massachusetts.
The Pelletier family has been on a long and sad odyssey… but now it is hopefully at an end.
Judge Joseph Johnston wrote in his ruling that, “I find that the parties have shown by credible evidence that circumstances have changed since the adjudication on Dec. 20, 2013, that Justina is a child in need of care and protection pursuant to G.L. c. 199, 24-26. Effective Wednesday, June 18, 2014, this care and protection petition is dismissed and custody of Justina is returned to her parents, Lou and Linda Pelletier.”
Matt Staver, founder and chariman of Libery Counsel, “We are thrilled that Justina will finally be returning home tomorrow. The family looks forward to putting this 16-month nightmare behind them. Justina and her family now begin the process of healing both physically, emotionally, and spiritually.”
We rejoice with the Pelletier’s and pray that this ruling means that they can move past this horrible experience and get on with their lives.
We also hope that someone in Massachusetts will face justice for the inhumane and unjust way the Pelletier family has been treated over the last year.
