Gingrich Warns of GOP Catastrophe

In a rousing speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference on Sunday, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich called for a conservative “declaration of independenceâ€

Booo to newt gingrich for trying to put guilt upon republicans to vote party line when the possible winners could be Huckabee or Mccain! BLAH..I agree that conservatives are going to have to separate themselves from the Republican party because the Republican Party has been hijacked by the neo con socialists.

I feel that the GOP has sabatoged itself. It will go down in flames this election.

Newt is a smart man and I was hoping he'd run for president..but in the meantime I discovered he is a standing member of the Council on Foreign Relations..so my trust is gone.

Newt Gingrich said:

“That is a warning of a catastrophic election. I was in Idaho this last week, and Barack Obama on last Saturday had 16,000 people in Boise. The idea [of] the most liberal Democratic Senator getting 16,000 people in Boise was inconceivable.

Why is Obama drawing the support of such huge crowds in conservative states like Idaho? Because he is seen as a populist, and he doesn't owe as many favors as establishment candidates like Hillary. And he seems to be a Bill Cosby or Shelby Steele style black person, because he urges blacks to take some responsibility for their lives instead of just blaming their condition on external forces.
