The Glenn Beck/Debra Medina Sucker Punch

    9/11 conspiracy, truthers, birthers

The Glenn Beck/Debra Medina Sucker Punch

    By Bob Parks
    Monday, February 15, 2010

Let’s say I had a television show and I asked a political candidate some questions regarding, let’s say, about the other entrenched lifer candidates, local issues, state and federal issues, the Constitution, and then asked if he or she believed Babe Ruth was really black or if Barack Obama was really a United States citizen or if there was a 9/11 conspiracy.

Let’s say an answer was given I didn’t like. Would that alone disqualify me from holding public office?

    audio at the link

I will admit, I did like some of the things Beck’s said over the last year on Fox News and previous years on radio, but he may have just shown us just how full of himself he really is. http://www.glennbeck.com/content/articl ... 196/36197/

Personally, I’d like to see some new blood running Texas. Rick Perry straddled the bonehead fence when he started talking about secession, Kay Bailey Hutchinson appears to feel she’s entitled to the governorship after many flaky years in the US Senate.

And while we’re at it, let’s talk conspiracy.

Sarah Palin is now a Beck compadre at Fox News. Sarah Palin endorsed Rick Perry. Debra Medina was surging in the polls. http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0210/32856.html Beck throws a beanball at Medina in an attempt to knock her out of the race. How ironic it would be that liberals could use a Glenn Beck audio clip to take out a Republican.

I’ve already made my views (then doubts) about Beck known when I saw him pandering to black Republicans on a weekend show, complete with jungle-looking graphics, http://www.black-and-right.com/wp-conte ... -Heard.jpg trying to come off as a potential savior who understands. I’ve never bought his crying like a pussy, and I’ve rejected every attempt he’s made to make himself a 9/12, tea party grand poohbah.

Glenn Beck could make me look bad tomorrow if he asked a question about Barack Obama’s birth certificate. Bill O’Reilly would dismiss me and call me a “loonâ€

Well, suddenly Glenn's an ass now because he trick-questioned Medina? Well, how was he Bob Parks when he dishonestly framed Dede Scozzafava, had lying "conservative" after "conservative" lined up to lie about this woman, lie about her official positions on crucial issues, about her voting record, about her associations ... all because she was a Pro-Choice Republican? I don't recall any 9/12'ers or Conservatives or Tea Parties whining about that and Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh, Tim Pawlenty, Dick Armey, Fred Thompson and Rick Santorum ALL lied about Dede Scozzafava to try to get Doug Hoffman, the Conservative, elected in her place because he was Pro-Life, and all you did was split the vote and elect a Democrat to a seat Republicans had held since 1870.

Republicans need to be Pro-Choice on the campaign trail and in their public offices. How they feel about abortions in their personal life with their personal decisions is solely up to them. But US law is Pro-Choice. Our settled law of the United States is Pro-Choice. Our Constitution protects Pro-Choice. Our US Supreme Court Rulings protect Pro-Choice. It's as settled as slavery is prohibited and women have the right to vote. Now go live your lives however you wish with the liberty and personal freedom our nation guarantees you and leave everyone else to live theirs, so we can unite and go win some elections and fix our country.

It isn't up to me to make personal decisions for anyone. But I have to disagree with the statement that Republicans need to be pro choice. We have enought of those as it is. People are going to do what suits them wether it be for convenience or health issues. However if they choose Abortion then it should be out of their wallet no mine. I am morally against abortion except in the case of rape, incest or the case of the life of the mother. I also believe it should have to be in the first trimester or not at all except in the case of the life of the mother who may have other children to care for.
I am not here to argue this just stating my beliefs.

Pro-Choice is respecting everyone's beliefs, yours as well as someone else's and most importantly respecting our rule of law and the personal privacy of our citizens. Republicans need to be Pro-Choice on the campaign trail and in their public offices. What they are in their personal life is none of my business, and I could care less.

As to public funding of abortions, that's been against the law in the United States since 1976, and I'm not aware of any proposal to change it, so your money's still safe, and poor women are still forced into child-birth against their will due to lack of $300 for an abortion, which then requires your tax dollars to be used to support them, $8,000 for a regular birth and $15,000 for a Caesarian plus all the pre-natal care and post-natal care and MediCaid thereafter, and AFDC, and Food Stamps and HUD Housing, and etc., etc., etc., generation after generation.

And people wonder why we have a $14 Trillion national debt and 62 million people on MediCaid and SCHIP.

Well, illogical policies like the one above are responsible for a good part of it. It's time for Republicans to follow the logic of our laws, the pragmatism of our liberty, and face the realism of how in the world we're going to pay off a $14 trillion debt without reversing the policies that caused it.

That's just my opinion, and one I hope people will think hard about between now and November 2010.

Like Ron Paul use to say that he was pro choice, but his feelings about the matter didn't matter. It was up to him to see that he voted the way the people wanted him to vote. When asked why he took money from the Federal Government he said that he didn't want to, but the people in his district wanted it so he took it. He went against his beliefs and voted the way his constituents wanted. That is his job. It shouldn't matter how they feel. They should be voting for thier districts.

Lucky draw,.....none of us were aborted.

Respect life....... Should those two words include YOU? Or should other's make their own CHOICE? Laws can be changed.

Does a mother carry a baby when pregnant, or a fetus? Wheres the respect for language?

    The Glenn Beck

Sorry Beck and Fox news, I like Medina. Plan to vote for her in the primary. Obviously, her answer to one particular question was botched. I was disappointed at how fast Beck and Fox jumped on her, trying to discredit her.
Just another example of how powerful and destructive the media can be,

From the secular. From science. Three facts.

    1. The earth is not flat,...it is round.

    2. Life begins at conception.

    3. That LIFE when concieved in a woman's womb, is indeed a HUMAN LIFE.

Morally or legally, check mate. When LIFE is TERMINATED (code word borrowed from Hollywood) it is a HUMAN LIFE that was placed on the alter of CHOICE. Too bad one voice was squelched, the voice of a HUMAN.

Morals and laws can be changed. If we as a society cannot or will not speak up for the innocent,.......Who's next?

You are right roundabout. Laws and morals can be changed. Just because man makes a law that says abortion is legal does not make it morally right. Nor should it remove the guilt of destroying human life. Such laws just add to the moral decay of humans.
Pro-Choice is respecting everyone's beliefs? No, it is allowing people to ignore their own moral responsibility. There are exceptions such as rape, incest and life of the mother. Otherwise it is past time for people to take moral responsibility for the actions they take.
