Oh....so it wasn't just me? Took me forever to get on it.....I was, switched articles and BAM....Forbidden access. Spent a day trying to figure things out......I e-mailed them, since that was the last resort of advice besides buying additional software. I figured since I made it on....it wasn't my computer with the problem.

I don't trust Beck. When he was working for CNN he mocked Ron Paul as being a nut case and smeared Ron Paul's followers as domestic terrorists.

Now he works for the neo-con Fox News Network, (which tried its best to marginalze Paul during the presidential race) , and now he's attempting to duplicate the Ron Paul Revolution by hijacking its main principles of obeying the constitution, less government and fiscal responsibility. That's all well and good but is it the REAL DEAL? I don't believe it is because:

    A. He's working for FOX News for goodness sake - a big time corporate media company.

    B. Unless he is against our unconstitutional foreign policy of pre-emptive wars and against the unconstitutional federal reserve system, then he's still pushing the same agenda.

And I nearly fell off my chair when he revealed a giant mosaic of people's faces making up either the declaration of independece or the bill of rights (not sure) He completely ripped off that idea from a Ron Paul supporter!

I'm just not trusting this because consider the source - the corporate news media. Sure it sounds all well and good and makes people feel as if they are doing something worthwhile because it's wrapped up in the constitution, it's empowering and people are feeling pretty hopeless right now.

But I'm guessing, the usual suspects behind the scenes stood up and took notice at the success of the Ron Paul movement and wanted to capitalize on it for their own purposes. (Ironic since they were doing everything they could to mock it.) Sell this 9/12 plan as something similar but also throw in couple of items that they want to continue like pre-emptive wars of aggression. Blur all the principles together so that people won't really notice. I'm not saying I'm 100% correct on this, but it's just a gut feeling considering he's with Fox News and his past behavior.

Now some people may say what about Lou Dobbs? Didn't he try to get something going with his books and Independence thing? But at least Lou Dobbs is consistent in his views. Beck isn't.

I think it's being done to counter the growing number of members in Ron Paul's Campaign for Liberty. We shall see.. I'm just putting this out there for people to keep in the back of their minds.

Something of interest from a news article I found:

Don't be suckered by Beck’s scripted honesty. He is merely inserting these words into the dialogue. Consider the words of David Rockefeller:

“We are grateful to the Washington Post, the New York Times, Time Magazine, and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost forty years. It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. But now the world is more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination practiced in past centuries.â€

You have some very valid points. I connect at a different place. Literally, morals and values. I am a recovering alkie and druggie. Sober since 1980 something.....put it this way....Lady Di and Prince Charles married when I was in re-hab......it was the only thing we got to watch at that time.

Chit Chat farms in Reading, PA

Years were spent in therapy, hospitals and relegious retreats, trying to find a balance and connection....I do connect with what he has to say. I would challenge anyone to burn through what I did and I don't have the answer. But I do know what I think and I don't have to re-write the message to get sign ons' to help me. Threaten me, whatever you want, I cannot go back to that place.

Seriously....there was a time where this illegal immigration and socialism and all that made PERFECT SENSE to me!!!!! I thought like that. But once that illusion is shattered, you can't go back. I CAN'T. My conundrum is....now what?

Wow, sounds like you've been pretty much through hell and back Crazybird. Hope things are better for you now.

Alot of things made perfect sense to us when we were younger. I guess looking back now, my view was more similar to Liberal thinking. The word Conservative Republican, conjured up images of very rigid, close minded people. Those who were for the rich and not the working class, and who didn't care about the enviroment and always supported war. I guess you can thank that way of thinking to media influence!

I don't think I would have ever accepted illegal immigration, but I may have agreed with some Socialist ideas - but that's because I was ignorant! I didn't know what Socialism was! I didn't even know what a Republic was! It's not that I didn't read or keep up on things, I was just never very interested in politics.

Then 9-11 happened. I started listening to Bill O'Reilly! When the Liberals started talking about teaching kids the Koran at school so they could learn about the terrorists who attacked us, that was it for me. I then began asking myself... does that mean I'm a... Conservative now?? I have to laugh because it was almost like saying a dirty word. Now I feel absolutely comfortable with it.

Then I really started to wake up and see that there were neo-cons who were just as dangerous as the far left, and that both parties are pretty much about keeping the status quo.

I guess you can say I've come full circle! But there are times when I do wish that I wasn't so well informed now. They say ignorance is bliss and I swear at times I really do wish I were ignorant about certain things. But I'm a control freak and I've always got to know what's really going on! It's both a blessing and a curse!

My suggestion to you is to following your instincts of what your heart tells you to be true. I certainly would ignore anything the media puts out there, even if it does sound good. You know they are only controlled. I look for independent sources and groups to support. The key is consistency in their message. Do they support and defend the constitution? Are the inclusive, accepting people from all backgrounds and political leanings? I may disagree with someone on social issues but if they a defender of the Constitution, we're on the same side.

That's why I joined Campaign for Liberty. Ron Paul has been consistent in his message, has a long career as a supporter and defender of the constitution, and has the courage to speak out - even against his own party. There are others out there too - not just Ron Paul. You just have to weed through all the garbage first in order to get to the good ones! So, it's not a be all end all situation with Glen Beck. There are other good people /organizations out there that are not controlled by the media. You just have to look for them. I gave you one place to start!

    ALERT!!!PLEASE HELP THESE STATES!!!

    IDAHO:

Bill: S1155 A bill that would suspend licenses for businesses that knowingly employ illegal immigrants and makes e-verifiy mandatory for all business, will not go forward...This bill written and introduced by Senator Jorgenson took the first step in the process in the State Affairs Committee where it passed unanimously. However, Chairman of the State affairs Committee Sen. Curt McKenzie has thrown the bill in his desk drawer and stated this bill is not going anywhere....so much for due process.

We need to call, e-mail, and fax the following members and DEMAND they force Mc Kenzie to remove bill No. S 1155 from his desk drawer and continue forward with the democratic process so this can become law, finish the peoples business and stop stalling. It is what the citizens in Idaho expect of our legislatures...

    COLORADO

Bill SB09-170 is still alive in the Senate - this is the bill that would give in-state tuition to illegal aliens who can not even legally work in our country. It is important for you to call and email the Senators listed below. Tell them to kill this anti-American bill. It is not fair to give tuition breaks to those illegally in the United States when citizens in Colorado can not even afford to send their own children to college.

I found this blog written by someone else who also has doubts about Beck:
