Global Warming - Has Al Gore Gone Over the Edge or Can’t He Handle the Truth?

Eco-tyranny: How The Left's Green Agenda Will Dismantle America

Has Al Gore Gone Over the Edge or Can’t He Handle the Truth?

Jerry McConnell Wednesday, May 23, 2012

Over the past several years I have ripped former Vice President Al Gore for his far, far left rambles and rants on what he once called ‘Global Warming’ but now refers to as ‘Climate Change’. Of course, when global warming was smacked down by authentic climatologists, unlike the “pretend” types such as Gore and his misled followers, the debunked terminology was discreetly changed to something that we know is a fact; who can argue the new title ‘Climate Change’? Is it now no more than just a factual, inarguable subject?

Of course climates change; it’s the nature of the beast. But despite the name change, the garbage so endemic to Gore’s diatribes and in many cases, outright profanity-laden verbal jousts to what he considers to be infidels or non-believers has not changed much, if any. He still rants and raves like a mad man; and lo, he might just be clinically reaching that point.

Reports made by former meteorologist weather expert now a journalist and TV personality, Brian Sussman, author of “Eco-tyranny: How The Left’s Green Agenda Will Dismantle America,” in reference to a recent speech Gore that harangued the elites at the Aspen Institute in Colorado, is evidence the former U.S. vice president is becoming a raving lunatic.

    Gore: A raving lunatic?

Actually, in retrospect, I guess we should feel sorry for him as he must at one time or another had some qualities that led him to worthwhile venues including elected office which, again in retrospect, probably is not a worthy example, given the obvious huge advantage he had with a father who was well known and respected in political circles. But in any case, it is sorrowful to see a man who was once a fairly pleasant public figure who was neither questionable in his actions nor spoken word at that time as opposed to what he has become.

Having to part with Tipper, his wife of forty years, over the charges of a not-very-well-kept secret affair with Laurie David, his colleague in the making of the environmental movie film, “An Inconvenient Truth,” that lasted two years it has been said, may have contributed to the turmoil in Gore’s life. Perhaps another film should be produced with the title, “An Inconvenient Affair.”

Mr. Sussman says of Gore, ““He’s clearly becoming mentally unstable,” citing the Aspen Institute address that turned into a wild rant filled with repeated obscenities.

Sussman described three separate points during his speech, verbally illustrating Gore’s profanity laced retort. They came after Gore had stated, “special interest groups “pay pseudo-scientists to pretend to be scientists to put out the message: (#1: ‘This climate thing, it’s nonsense. Man-made CO2 doesn’t trap heat. It may be volcanoes.’ (#2: ‘It may be sun spots.’ (#3: ‘It’s not getting warmer.’

Gore’s rejoinder to all three illustrations was “Bullsh**” At the very least he was consistent in the source of the excrement in all three instances.

Sussman commented, “It was a gorebasm in which Al totally lost it,” explaining that gorebasms are Al’s pejorative statements directed toward deniers and skeptics of climate change.

“Listening to an audiotape of the speech makes it abundantly evident even the Aspen audience was uncomfortable witnessing the ravings of a madman.”
Gore has been under heavy pressure and refuses to yield to any stories or declarations from real scientists who disclaim or offer evidence of possible unfair or even illegal actions that have surfaced. As recently as 2009 the UK Telegraph reported online, that ‘Climate change. This is the worst scientific scandal of our generation.’

This constant denial on Gore’s part could be causing these outbursts of irresponsible conduct and we should go easy on him. As the old song says, he is more to be pitied than censured. In fact, if I wasn’t aware of his penchant of being so indifferent with the truth I might even feel sorry for him and think that he really believes all of the hokum his “scientists” are feeding him just to keep getting those government handouts and grants.

But he has been a long time member of the liberal Democrats associated with some of the best liars in the history of this country such as Roosevelt, Truman and Clinton and even more recently, Reid, Pelosi, Schumer, and the master of the prevaricated word, Barack Hussein Obama. He just can’t help himself.

Eco-Fascist James Hansen Admits Global Warming is Not Man-Made

    Susanne Posel
    Infowars.com
    June 4, 2010

In August of 2000, James Hansen co-authored a study on global warming as projected into the coming decades.

The study, entitled Global warming in the twenty-first century: An alternative scenario , pointed out that “rapid warming in recent decades has been driven mainly by non-CO2 greenhouse gases . . . not by the products of fossil fuel burning, CO2 and aerosols.”

After conducting the study, Hansen concluded that it was not man-made CO2 that was causing global warming.

However, Hansen still pushes that the method of controlling emission output should “focus on air pollution has practical benefits that unite the interests of developed and developing countries. However, assessment of ongoing and future climate change requires composition-specific long-term global monitoring of aerosol properties.”

The consensus, Hansen claims is that “the warming is at least in part a consequence of increasing anthropogenic greenhouse gases (GHGs)”, yet without evidence supporting that global warming is caused by man, the assertion is purely conjecture.

In April of this year, Hansen gave a lecture where he argued that future generations would be challenged by climate change and these effects could be mitigated by “a flat-rate global tax is needed to force immediate cuts in fossil fuel use.”

In the study, Hansen cites the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), a UN environmental agency, as authority. The Special Report on Emissions Scenarios and their attention to GHGs.

Although the climate change computer models used by the ICPP and Hansen are focused on “business as usual” scenarios with rapidly increasing GHGs, that has not been the case in real world observation by environmental scientists across the globe. After spending more than a decade observing the glaciers in Greenland, scientists have concluded that they are not melting with the veracity that climate change alarmists would have us believe.

Along with the glaciers not preforming up to climate change alarmists expectations, it has been noted that flowers are blooming up to 8 times faster than were projected.

In a study published in the journal Remote Sensing, co-author Dr. Roy Spencer reported that real data from NASA’s Terra Satellite completely contradicts the assumptions made by climate change alarmists.

According to a press release, at the University of Alabama, Spencer said: “The satellite observations suggest there is much more energy lost to space during and after warming than the climate models show. There is a huge discrepancy between the data and the forecasts that is especially big over the oceans.”

James Taylor, a senior fellow for environment policy at The Heartland Institute, wrote that the meaning of the new research is clear — and it compromises what he called a “central premise of alarmist global warming theory. Real-world measurements … show far less heat is being trapped in the Earth’s atmosphere than the alarmist computer models predict, and far more heat is escaping into space than the alarmist computer models predict.”

In the study by Hansen, he reiterates that: “Our estimates of global climate forcings indicate that it is the non-CO2 GHGs that have caused most observed global warming.”

Yet he then says that regardless of the data his own team uncovered, “this interpretation does not alter the desirability of limiting CO2 emissions.”
Ignoring the empirical data is quite unscientific.

James Hansen is now head of the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies. His views on man-made global warming have changed over the decades to reflect a near eco-Fascist perspective.

Knowing this, 50 of NASA’s former scientists and astronauts came together to write a formal letter to Charles Bolden, NASA Administrator, demanding that Hansen be prohibited from “including unproven remarks” supporting global warming in the mainstream media, via the NASA website.

Leighton Steward, critic of man-made global warming and author, heralds the scientists and astronauts for speaking out. “These American heroes, the astronauts that took to space and the scientists and engineers that put them there, are right to criticize NASA’s advocacy of an extreme and unsubstantiated position.”

James Hansen has come a long way and his philosophy surrounding climate change and man’s role in it has drastically altered since the study published in 2000.

In Hansen’s early days, he studied under James Van Allen. Allen is an alumni from such global Elite controlled universities as Johns Hopkins and Princeton. Allen was a member of the American Philosophical Society , a globalist think-tank of international reputation that has “played an important role in American cultural and intellectual life for over 250 years.”

The ideals of globalization were being sown.

Hansen later attended Columbia University. This college produced another climate change alarmist, Jeffrey Sachs.

Sachs is a professor of sustainable development at Columbia University, director of the Earth Institute and US economist.

At a meeting of the Asian Development Bank in Manila last month, Sachs told his audience that atomic energy produces low-carbon emissions. He says that renewable energy will not produce enough power for the world’s needs, while flooding the atmosphere with carbon dioxide.

Hansen is one of the most vocal of the climate change alarmists.

Considering that he is lying about the effects of man on the earth’s temperature, he is also one of the most prevalent purveyors of propaganda in recent times.

How The Ozone Hole Over The Arctic Disappared

    - How The Ozone Hole Over The Arctic Disappared (Spiegel, May 31, 2012):
Good news from the Arctic: has startled the giant ozone hole, the researchers in the past year, has disappeared. Human conduct, however, was not in the game – the weather is responsible for the healing of the shield.
After the lunch break may not dawdle Rudolf Denkmann and his colleagues. Time every day to make one, the researchers of the German-French research station in Ny Alesund on AWIPEV Spitsbergen before a large red wooden hall to get their weather observation balloon. Even at temperatures around freezing trudges thinking man these days with the T-shirt through the snow.
Impressively fast the helium-filled balloon rises into the sky after the start. On the way to the stratosphere transmits a packet of cigarettes great radio stations constantly temperature and humidity levels down. Because of the decreasing air pressure, the balloon expands more and more from – until he explodes in more than 30 kilometers high.
At least once a week during the AWIPEV people send up a balloon. In summer it is open every Wednesday afternoon so far. To further launches are available on request from researchers. “We have to adhere to a strict protocol,” says station manager of thinking man, a red-haired and-bearded Frenchman. At the aircraft is then something that looks like a bird house made of Styrofoam. In fact, the box, however, conceals an electrochemical mini-lab, Unit price: 1000 €.
The measurements of this probe to help the researchers to track the fate of the ozone layer, which keeps harmful UV radiation from the earth’s surface. The shield is preparing regular worries. Last year, scientists first had a large ozone hole measured over the Arctic. Its extent startled even the experts: In the region of 18-20 km height were about 80 percent of the ozone disappeared. At times, the hole with two million square kilometers, was almost six times as large as Germany. People in Scandinavia, Canada and northern Russia had to pay attention to their sunscreen or risking an increased risk of developing skin cancer.
No new edition of the heavenly Freezer
Previously, an ozone hole, caused by long-banned chemicals such as chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), known only from the area around the South Pole. The reason: The ozone is decomposed at temperatures below minus 78 degrees Celsius at so-called polar stratospheric clouds. Composed of frozen nitric acid, sulfuric acid and water – and offer the necessary ozone killers in cold soil. And usually it is highly significantly above the south polar region is colder than in the Arctic stratosphere.
Last year was very different: Unusually low temperatures increased the ozone depletion over the Arctic. After all: After a record loss in the winter 2010/2011 it is the protective layer over the northern hemisphere this year much better. “We did not have this winter ozone hole over the Arctic,” Peter reported by the Gathen. He serves at the Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research (AWI) in Potsdam, the ozone probe measurements from Ny Ålesund during winter and coordinates the ozone sounding stations all around the Arctic.
“Due to slightly higher temperatures were in the stratosphere is not sufficiently activated chlorine compounds to induce a greater ozone depletion,” says the researcher. After the higher layers are still at the beginning of winter was very cold, the situation had relaxed after that.
Last year was a particularly pronounced polar vortex favors the decomposition of ozone. That’s what the researchers a long time stable high-pressure area in the high polar air layers. This year the vortex but not as extensively as twelve months earlier – and far less stable. What will the matter in the coming winter will not know the researcher. But their regular measurements will show them if the ozone layer is thinner again.
Where possible, the scientists at Ny Alesund try way to recycle their flying mini-labs. When the balloon bursts, the instruments fall back to earth – and with luck can locate anywhere in the deserted area of the research station. If colleagues from other research stations deliver a found measuring box, they get a reward: a small glass with the logo Awi.
Sometimes the people at the station have also AWIPEV themselves lucky. Station manager of thinking man proudly displays a styrofoam box, which looks forward to the laboratory on a shelf next to their start: “The I found by chance on a glacier.”
