Global Warming - NY TIMES WARNING!

    http://adamant.typepad.com/seitz/2007/0 ... ming_.html

"The Earth is steadily growing warmer. As all the ice at the two poles melts a stupendous volume of water will be released.

Fish will swim in Buckingham Palace... New York will be marked by the...taller skyscrapers as they jut out of the water...the climate..as when dinosaurs roamed the earth and dense jungles...grew in...Canada.

Palms and alligators would flourish at the poles ...man's food supply will not ...it is a question if he will survive "

    ..................-- The New York Times..May 15, 1932

This is not a parody. Here , direct from The Times archive , is the opening shot of The Hundred Years Climate War --

I would keep it to illegal immigration. This kind of a post turns off needed allies.

There are people who are vehemtly opposed to illegal immigration, but are also convinced that global warming is scientific fact, and at least that we should do what British PM John Major said in 1992,
"Because I am a conservative, I take out an insurance policy."

Even accepting every word of this article as true, the point is that human activity is SPEEDING UP THE NATURAL WARMING PROCESS to the point where we could see catastrophes even greater than envisioned by this article.

Science got us to the moon and back. It works. It is prudent to protect against something that the vast majority of scientists say is caused by humans.
"We have a sacred, noble obligation in this country to defend the rule
of law. Without rule of law, without democracy, without rule of law being
applied without fear or favor, there is no freedom."

this is the 'other topics forum' so it's an acceptable post.

One person's opinion is no more valuable than another's.

Yep, the global socialists were already at their propaganda by the 1930s, and they already had their man (FDR) lined up to take the US into the post League of Nations global government. Unfortunately for them, the unscheduled rise of National Socialism under Hitler and the ascendency of Stalin in Russia befouled the concept of Socialism before they could get their program off the ground. These developments reawakened the American spirit and provided the impetus for the polarization of the Cold War. Only since the fall of the Soviet empire has the globalist dream (or nightmare, depending on your perspective) again become possible.

Here is a group of almost 20,000 distinguished scientists who disagree:

I checked some of the names, and they checked out.
    Interesting.
But what about taking out an insurance policy?
