Angry Docs Say Proposed Government-Run Health Care Plan Will Drive Physicians out of Medicine

(CNSNews.com) - You do not have to be a brain surgeon to see that government-run health care will bode ill for doctors and medicine, says Dr. David McKalip of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons.

But McKalip, who happens to be a St. Petersburg, Fla.-based neurosurgeon, predicts an eventual mass exodus of doctors out of medicine if Congress passes a health care reform bill that contains a mandatory government insurance option.

“I think you’ll see an incremental change where doctors will be squeezed so hard, they will simply start migrating out of medicine,â€

My elderly mom has both Medicare and supplemental, and the hospital she is at again today gives her the best of care. Me, with the same symptoms and no insurance, would walk in there and owe them around $30,000 immediately after treatment.
A government run insurance program would definitely knock down doctor pay quite a few notches.

What makes me so mad is there are in actuality only 20 million Americans without health care the other 27 million are illegal and people who could be on medicare/medicade or make $40,000 a year and could buy insurance but refuse....so they will punish the other more than 280 million Americans! what crap!

This tells me it is all about the govenment wanting to control our health care.

The present government wants total control of every facet of our life.....we are going to have to be very vigilant or all our freedoms will be stolen.
