Roofers work in tough conditions, balanced on sloping surfaces much of the day, in all kinds of weather. Plus, the pay isn’t that great.

The pay used to be pretty darn good for a building trade. But illegals have definitely driven the wages down, although I bet a lot of the contractors who use them are laughing all the way to the bank.

"What sucks almost as bad as the pay being drivin' down and the work being scarce is people were happy to see us, feed us, tell us how glad they were that we got to them next! Joke and play with the customers, ya know even before the invasion we always got the work done, and like I've said my beloved son is a roofer too! There is no way we were going to let our country down! We would have "Got it Done!"

The mean ol' German who taught me to roof was an illegal alien on anchor baby status, During my 7yr. apprenticeship I gave him a whole new respect for Americans! I miss that mean old Bastard sometimes!
