    Another fine example of the Educational Bureaucracy/Welfare State at work. It has put us so far in the hole, that we have resorted to importing foreign workers to bail us out. And they have been dictating the terms of their presence.

    Our education systems is a mess---but I think the fault started with the GI Bill and its vapid promise that all Americans could be upwardly mobile into professional careers, as long as they could concentrate on the books at earlier ages. This had led to an unrealistic high expectations, and constant pressure to try to justify that 'promise.'
