Greenville police are investigating an apparent shooting at a home on Iola Street late Friday.

Eduardo Romero Rosas, 33, of 6 Iola Street was taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital Friday, according to police spokesman Lt. Mike Gambrell.

Rosas had been found lying in the front living room area at the residence "suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the forehead," Gambrell said in a prepared statement Saturday.

Gambrell said that damage from apparent multiple gunshots were found in the glass panes of the front door.

Someone called 911 Friday night, and when police arrived, a large crowd had gathered in front of the Iola Street residence, according to a police incident report.

Greenville Police are asking anyone with information about a shooting that occurred at 11:09 p.m. Friday to call Crime Stoppers at 23-CRIME.

This was reported on Fox Carolina News that the officers had a hard time investigating this at first because no one at the scene spoke English so they had to wait for a Spanish Speking officer to arrive. They did not say if they were illegals or not, but a little investigatiing would tell us.
