Anti-hate group calls for investigation into CAIR leader’s ties to islamic radical Yusuf al-Qaradawi

(Los Angeles, CA) Americans Against Hate (AAH), a civil rights organization and terrorism watchdog group, is calling on federal authorities to investigate the connection between the Executive Director of CAIR-California Hussam Ayloush and the Spiritual Leader of the Muslim Brotherhood Yusuf al-Qaradawi.

In December 2001, CAIR-California’s website published a photo taken in Los Angeles of Ayloush shoulder-to-shoulder with al-Qaradawi. This was two years after al-Qaradawi had been banned from entering the United States. Ayloush was then, as he is today, the head of CAIR-California.

Al-Qaradawi has been banned from entering the United States since 1999. In the past, al-Qaradawi has incited violence against Jews, endorsed suicide bombings, called for homosexuals to be put to death, voiced his support for various terrorist organizations, called for the destruction of the state of Israel, and sanctioned attacks against U.S. troops abroad.
