The numbers show a significant increase in displeasure among Americans, as the poll results rose from 69 percent in April and 61 percent at the beginning of the year, according to the news outlet.

According to Fox News, the growing negative sentiment surrounding the state of the country is tied to President Barack Obama, as a total of 50 percent of those surveyed disapprove of the job he is doing.

Reuters reported that a monthly poll by the non-profit, non-partisan Kaiser Family Foundation showed that the discontent with the Obama healthcare reform has reached new heights, as 51 percent of those who were surveyed responded that they have an unfavorable opinion of the legislation. http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/10/ ... The number of respondents that disliked the healthcare law increased largely due to a rise in discontented Democrats, as this poll showed a decline to 52 percent from 65 percent in September
