We are just past a year since the terrible murdering rampage at Sandy Hook Elementary School. We grieve that loss terribly and of course we want to find ways to prevent a massacre like that from ever happening again.

Almost no one is acknowledging that we have a perfect template for how to prevent a massacre. The school shooting at Arapahoe High happened on December 13th ,2013...one day before the anniversary of Sandy Hook. And it was over in 80 seconds. The reason it ended so quickly is because there was an armed School Resource Officer on campus who responded immediately. Once the murderer knew he faced armed resistance, he took his own life. (http://www.cnn.com/2013/12/14/us/col...chool-shooting) He failed miserably to attain his goals, and we here at ASP thank God for the presence of that officer.

Why isn't this being touted as the immediate solution to kids becoming mass murderers in our schools? Sure we need to once again teach kids the value of human life, but we need this solution now. We think it's not being taught because it's what the NRA National School Shield report suggested after Sandy Hook. The NRA is completely ignored or demonized my the MSM, so taking this up would never be allowed.

But let's face facts, folks. This saved perhaps dozens of lives. The Arapahoe murderer had 5 classrooms written on his arm and the words "the die has been cast" in Latin too. He brought 3 Molotov cocktails, a machete, and more than 125 shotgun shells with him to do his havoc. It would have been a blood bath had the deputy not pinned him in the library and made him end his massacre in futility.

Thank God this school had an armed SRO. May we learn the lesson and protect ALL of our kids with measures like having an armed presence on campus, so that these sociopaths know that they cannot succeed and leave our kids alone.
