'Where are the Anti-Jihad Minutemen?'
By David Tatosian on Feb 17, 08

There are a myriad of web sites and blogs that focus on Islam. From it’s history and the history and habits of Mohammed, to the walking death of Sharia and Dhimmitude. Any information one needs can be had by visiting the relevant site or, should you be so inclined, reading some of the Islamic texts themselves.

There are also many sites that bear witness to Islam's devastating advance throughout Europe.

Given the activity at these sites and symposiums devoted to speaking out against the descent into Sharia, I wonder at the absence of a grassroots movement to stop the influence of Islam within our own borders.

Its not like we're uninformed or can't see what's happening right in front of us. We can.

We see the US Government embrace Muslims who can throw together a charter and call themselves a civil rights organization. If said group has ties to terrorist groups abroad, our government redoubles its efforts to convince these "civil rights" groups of its tolerance by giving them anything they ask for. That is, on the domestic front of the GWOT, the US Government is more comfortable assuming the role of the Dhimmi than defending our citizens, culture and nation against the ravages of Islam.

We know the same government has, since 9/11, consistently refused to secure our borders. Particularly our southern border. In essence, our government is as committed to sheltering foreign nationals who've illegally entered our country as they are to appeasing the "civil rights" groups mentioned above.

These realities represent two of the greatest threats we face.

In the case of our unsecured borders, Grassroots organizations hit the streets, called, faxed and emailed local politicians insisting they enforce immigration laws that the federal government will not. As a result, local and state governments are beginning to remove the burdens illegal alien foreign nationals have placed upon American citizens.

Those same groups helped stop last years amnesty legislation. The Internet played no small part in all this, but it was American citizens at the grassroots level that brought these changes about. Despite the Federal Government.

Like it or not, that is what anti-jihad Americans must do.

But anti jihad organizations don't appear to exist at a functioning grassroots level.

Why?

To watch the spread of Islam in Europe is to witness the destruction of Western Civilization. Our civilization.

We can see our own government moving in the same direction and espousing the same lies and deceptions.

The longer nothing gets done on a grassroots level, the harder it will be to stop the advance of Sharia.

And we are pressed for time in this confrontation. It took nearly twenty years from the Reagan amnesty to the Minuteman Project's Border Watch operations (but less then three years for those operations to generate changes beneficial to American citizens).

We don't have twenty years. And if the next twenty years are anything like the last twenty, this nation will slide into a third world/Sharia dark age from which it will not recover.

When will all that Internet based expertise and knowledge combine with alarm at Islam's destruction of Europe to produce a movement to stop the same thing from happening here?

Certainly Internet entities that recognize the horrific impact Islam has on liberal democracies have the wherewithal and support to organize a fax, phone and email campaign that would call for an end to all government outreach to groups designated as coconspirators during the Holy Land Foundation trial. Designated Coconspirator groups like the Council on American Islamic Relations for instance.

After all, it's just a phone call, fax or email. Its not like you'd have to stand in the street with a flag, banner or sign in front of, say, the local CAIR headquarters while college boys pull their bandanas over their faces and start calling you Racist-Nazi-White-Xenophobe-Racist-Racist-White-*&#&-Nazi and some guy is shrieking unintelligibly into a bullhorn six inches from your ear. It's not like that at all.

There will be no end to the government bestowed privileges Muslim Civil Rights groups (like CAIR) now enjoy till Americans organize and demand an end to those privileges.

Greater scrutiny of those groups is called for. Greater accountability of our representatives is called for. Greater vigilance is called for.

Border Security/Anti-illegal immigration organizations continue to succeed at the local level, where we live.

Anti-jihad Americans must do the same. If American citizens won't shine the light on this jihad of the written word and speech, who will? The Federal Government?

Don't make me laugh.
