Health negotiators focus on illegal immigrants

WASHINGTON -- Health care negotiators in the Senate are hammering out language to ensure that illegal immigrants can't get access to government funded insurance.

The issue is being revisited by a small group of negotiators on the Senate Finance Committee who met Friday morning. They are searching for an elusive bipartisan deal on President Barack Obama's health overhaul.

Members of the group said they thought they'd settled the matter, but it came to the fore this week when Republican Rep. Joe Wilson shouted "You lie" at Obama during his speech Wednesday. Obama had said illegal immigrants wouldn't be covered under his health plan.

Senators said that it has forced the committee to work on a provision to verify legal status before an individual can get coverage.

We also have laws on the books that say illegals will be deported, and we know that instead of being deported most are still in our country collecting welfare, getting "free" health care and an education for their anchors via our tax dollars.

I caught the very end of an interview with Judge Napolitano on Fox a couple of days ago. He was saying if the U.S. provides health care to all citizens, under the constituion, health care must be provided to ALL, including illegals. Did anyone see the entire interview?

Thats one reason why the PUBLIC OPTION is such a danger. ANYONE will be elligible by the constitution...

It's about time.

Language from the senate including verification language will do us no good if:

!) Exclusion of illegal aliens in public option health care is ruled discriminatory in court as excluson of illegal aliens in public education has been.

2) We allow any sort of amnesty for illegal aliens to pass.

Does anybody know if the CBO has done analysis of this bill and its costs if 12 to 20 million illegals jump into the scenario. I'd really like to see what that influx of people does for budgeting.

Illegals currently get health care through a plan called "Charity Care". I also keep saying that any new Health Plan needs to have a requirement for Charity Care. IF YOU CANNOT PROVE YOU ARE A U.S. CITIZEN or YOU CANNOT PROVE YOU ARE HERE LEGALLY (passport, visa, green card, etc) YOU AND YOUR FAMILY CANNOT BE GIVEN CHARITY CARE. Go back to the country you came from to have your baby or have it in the house you live in here in America without any government assistance (just like the country where you came from).

Once they obtain bank privledges to everybody's account they can take out everything you have in your account. It wouldn't surprise me if they bankrupted all of us and since there is no judicial notice you can't do anything about it. When you miss your house payment you are out in the street.
