    Help Support Bill That Would Ban Global Currency

    I'm not familiar with Rep. Bachmann (R) from MN, but I sat up and took notice the other day for how she was grilling Bernake & Geither. She even asked them point blank if they would replace the dollar with a global currency. They both said no, but you should have seen the expression on Bernake's face! Priceless! It was so obvious he was lying!

    Congresswoman Bachmann Questions Geithner & Bernanke About A Global Currency:

    =====

    Bachmann Demands Truth: Will Obama Administration Abandon Dollar for a Multi-National Currency?

    In response to suggestions by China, Russia, and other countries around the world calling on the International Monetary Fund to explore a multi-national currency, U.S. Representative Michele Bachmann (MN-6) has introduced a resolution that would bar the dollar from being replaced by any foreign currency.

    “Yesterday, during a Financial Services Committee hearing, I asked Secretary Geithner if he would denounce efforts to move towards a global currency and he answered unequivocally that he would," said Bachmann. "And President Obama gave the nation the same assurances. But just a day later, Secretary Geithner has left the option on the table. I want to know which it is. The American people deserve to know."

    Asked today about a currency proposal from China at a Council on Foreign Relations* event, Secretary Geithner stated he was open to supporting it. Despite attempts to clarify his remarks later in the day, the unguarded initial response calls into question his true intentions.

    Although Title 31, Sec. 5103 USC prohibits foreign currency from being recognized in the U.S., the President has the power to engage foreign governments in treaties, and the President is principally responsible for the interpretations and implementation of those treaties according to the Constitution. As a result, legislation prohibiting the President and Treasury from issuing or agreeing that the U.S. will adopt an international currency would need to come in the form of a Constitutional Amendment differentiating a treaty used to implement an international currency in the U.S. from other types of treaty agreements.

    I don't understand how a global currency would work. What would give it any value? Who or what would stand behind it?

    The US dollar is backed by the power of the US government to tax us! It has value from all of our work and assets. Are they proposing that our work and assets back this global currency? NO FREAKING WAY!!

    Gotta agree with you, AS7. Not only am I reading the Bible, and I plan to dip into the Torah, ancient religious texts from China and India. Reading the Koran is going to have to wait.
    The only reason for a globo instead of the dollar is easier trade, which would make multinationals happy. Of course then you would have all the currency traders all over the world standing in unemployment lines. That would mean that our American-held globo would be worth as much as the currency in Zimbabwe, which just issued the 100 trillion note.
    This is no more than a blatant move for China and Russia to bring down the American financial success and take over the world.

    I believe one of the most dangerous portions of Obama's proposed bill as a Senator to "alleviate global poverty" would have been a provision allowing the United Nations to levy a tax against the citizens of member nations to this end. First, with its proven record of internal corruption, you know that a significant portion of these funds would go to finance the opulent life-styles of career U.N. staff members. However, far more dangerous would be the precedent it would set authorizing the United Nations to levy taxes against the citizens of sovereign nations.

    Our English ancestors used the "power of the purse" effectively to limit the overreaching power of their sovereign rulers - beginning with forcing King John to sign the "Magna Carta" in order to receive any more funds from his nobility to finance his wars. This evolved into the counterbalancing power which the English Parliament attained through its control of government spending. Unfotunately, the aim of the "New World Order" seems to be to return control of "the purse" on a global basis to a limited number of wealthy influencial people.

    One Currency + The Power of Global Taxation through the United Nations + "Multinational Corporations" increasingly unaccountable to individual nations under their national laws + One Global Union Movement ("Workers of the World, Unite!") =s One World Government ruled over by the wealthy international "Politboro". Profitable Capitalism for "the elites": Socialism for the rest of us!

    CNBC Analyst: Global Bank, Global Currency Within 15 Years

    Head of market analysis for Schneider Foreign Exchange Stephen Gallo told CNBC yesterday that the financial crisis will lead to the creation of a global central bank and a global single currency within 15 years, echoing the call of top globalists who have exploited the problems they created to push for a new world financial order.

    Highlighting the significance of the introduction of the Euro, Gallo said that the single currency was “where we are headed globally on a monetary basis over the course of the next 10 to 15 years.â€
