    But the question is...

do you think a man should prove who he is with paper work and ID to apply for POTUS?

And further do you feel it important for him/her to be a "natural born citizen" as the Constitution requires?
100% agree, as I have said before, while I am every bit an american, my loyalty is here, there should be no doubt, but, I have relatives in england, could I promise you that in a time of crisis, I would not hesitate......no, I couldnt

that is why you need a POTUS that is a natural born citizen..I have never felt discriminated against because of it

oh, bowman....checked into it, if a adopted child is under 18 in 2001, they were granted autommatic citizenship after a year, unfortunately, I was in my late 30's

Absolutely on both issues. The founding fathers, I believe, were concerned with split loyalties. Obviously at the time of the Revolution, many of the founding fathers were not native born themselves. But I think their belief was that a US President should be born, and preferably raised, in the US so there would be no doubt as to national loyalty. As to proof, what point is there in having a requirement if no proof is necessary? I am native born. There is absolutely no doubt about it. Yet I have had to provide proof to go to college, to go into the military, to be assigned higher security classifications while in the military, and to apply for social security. I can assure you none of my college experiences, military assignments, or my retirement assigned me responsibilities to this nation any where near approaching those of the POTUS. And how in the world can providing proof of your citizenship and place of birth be racist or discriminatory if ALL applicants/candidates must comply?
Thanks Horseman. We went down the same path of thinking. Equal Justace under that law does not mean that if you are of any color you get to by pass the law or if you question a socalistic agenda you are a racist biggot!
