Hundreds Protest In Greenville Against Obama's Health Care Reform

    Posted: 1:47 PM Aug 9, 2009

A tour bus criss crossing North Carolina opposing the President's health care plan was in our area Saturday and hundreds turned out in support of the cause.

About 500 protesters circled around a hands off our health care tour bus in Greenville Saturday afternoon.

The organization, Americans for Prosperity made a stop in the Arlington Business Park hoping residents would sign a petition that's going to be sent to congress, against the President's health care reform.

Most participants we spoke to say they think some of their freedoms are being taken away and no one is giving them answers about the measure, including North Carolina lawmakers but also say they don't want to be portrayed as a group that would turn to violence to get their point across.

The tour bus also stopped in Washington Saturday morning and held a rally at Stewart Parkway.

ELE....I do believe the numbers are growing in opposition to the obamacare. Some things need some reform but they are out to take it over.

This was another item all the presidential runners were saying "keep the government out of healthcare" WHAT HAPPENED to that?

Ok. just my point of view but: I for one do not favor paying for everyones health care when I see a lot of overweight people with a lot of health problems and refuse to do anything about it (exercise) See them in the grocery store with a full cart of soda and chips and fatty meats. Items loaded in sodium and sugars.

I've paid over 45 years into the system including private insurance, watched my health, diet, etc, now this administrations wishes to take away what I built and give to others. This is not about health care it is about redistribution of wealth.

Another point with our current immigration policy of let anyone in where will we be in 10-15 years with 20 million+ more people that take more then they pay into the system, what it means is disaster.
I'm old with many opinions few solutions.

I am sure you have all heard this before and I recieved it again in my e-mail today:
    Subject: An experiment in equalization

As the late Adrian Rogers said, "you cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."

This Professor is making an important point

An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before,
but had once failed an entire class.

    --------------------------------------------

That class had insisted that Obama's socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.

    The professor then said, "OK,
we will have an experiment in this class on Obama's plan".

All grades would be averaged and everyone would receive the same grade so no one would fail and no one would receive an A.

After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B.
The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy.

As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little.
The second test average was a D!
    No one was happy.

When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F.

The scores never increased as bickering,
blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else.

All failed, to their great surprise, and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed.

Could not be any simpler than that.

    (Please pass this on)

pretty much sums it up with these stimulous programs
