PDT Sacramento -- Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's finance officials detailed an additional $3 billion in budget cuts today that would eliminate state funding for school buses, allow only severely disabled Californians to receive in-home services and suspend state rules, such as requiring animal shelters to keep strays alive for a certain number of days.

The additional cuts, which also include further reductions to K-12 education, are designed to close a deficit that is expected to grow to $24.3 billion through June 2010.

The governor's latest plan also includes 5 percent pay reductions for all state employees except Legislators, their staff and state court workers.
