CHICAGO (WBBM) -- A Morton Grove man is being held on a $3 million bond for allegedly running what appears to be an identity theft enterprise with possible ties to Pakistan.

Mohammad Sodagar, 51, was arrested and charged with 22 felony counts of identity theft. He appeared in court Monday where bond was set.

Morton Grove police Commander Brian Bolger says he was taken into custody a following a reported domestic violence incident at his home allegedly involving his son and a gun. He says investigators did not find a weapon, but did uncover items related to identity theft.

A search warrant for his home was executed over the weekend. Cook County prosecutors say the items including fake driver's licenses, passports from the U.S., Pakistan and Jamaica along with dozens of credit cards and 60-thousand dollars in cash.

Authorities suspect he may have been sending money, fake id's and credit cards to Pakistan. Police say their investigation continues and Sodagar refused to provide investigators with any information about what he was doing with the items allegedly recovered from his home.
