Obama's Boy Wonder Act Wearing Thin

The halo is no more. Dreams of a return to Camelot have been dashed. The carving planned for Mount Rushmore will not happen.

A devastating picture of President Obama and the damage he is inflicting on the US and the rest of the world is presented by Steve McCann in the American Thinker. The article argues that there is no "there" there with Obama. He is a hollow man without core convictions or beliefs, which relegates him to being indecisive and reactive: http://www.americanthinker.com/2011/02/ ... omacy.html

It is often said that when a person has no core and in its place exists a muddled and uncertain belief system, he tends to float along from one crisis in life to another. It is far easier to simply drift along with the current and allow it to take you wherever it may go. These people will ultimately fail in any endeavor.

In my opinion, he has some beliefs that he is unwilling to reveal because they are so alien to the American experience. These result from his upbringing:

Barack Obama, the product of a lifetime of leftist indoctrination, has as the basic foundation of his muddled and uncertain belief system a conviction that the United States has been the epitome of oppression and arrogance throughout its history.

Belief in the evil and exploitive nature of the US, when coupled with his inflated ego, seem to explain his early foreign trips and criticisms of the US. His narcissism appeared, for a while at least, to cause him to believe he was or could be President of the World. The overseas criticisms of the US honored his leftist indoctrination and were meant to ingratiate him with the critics of the US.

Other than an ability to play a President on TV and campaign skills, Obama appears to be devoid of other skills. His background supports the following suppositions:

•He has no administrative or executive ability.

•He has no knowledge regarding the economy or business.

•He appears to be unable to anticipate or plan. His inability to stay focused on major problems suggests either disinterest or attention-deficit disorder.

•He exudes no personal warmth and shows signs of petulance when questioned.

There is little in his performance so far to doubt any of these.

Obama is supposed to be the smartest man in any room, yet his academic background is hidden better than a participant in the witness protection program. As a result, it might be reasonable to suspect that he has an average IQ and disappointing academic achievement. His difficulty expressing himself without a teleprompter supports this conclusion.

Much of his personal background has been hidden, though we know he has no job experience that would suggest he would qualify for more than a low supervisory position. Perhaps his community organizing skills might be useful in understanding the strategies employed in the current uprising in Egypt.

As described in the American Thinker piece:

... Barack Obama is a leader without a core. Thus, he is able to rationalize saying anything as long as the end justifies the means. An outright lie is not a lie, but "spin." Obama therefore cannot be trusted by other leaders on the world stage.

Without a core or skills, Obama is essentially an empty suit. His attractive appearance and a voice that sounds impressive when reading from a teleprompter appear to be his only assets. These are qualities necessary for a con artist. They are not useful in an administrative position, particularly one that is considered the most important one in the world.

Unfortunately, we and the rest of the world have two more years to endure under the incompetent leadership of this poseur. These years are apt to be risky:

When the leadership of a great country exhibits these traits, the consequences can be catastrophic.

The full piece at American Thinker outlines the risks ahead and how the rest of the world has apparently seen through this shell of a man.

The inferior quality of our education system apparently prevents many of his supporters from comprehending reality. For those who live in an American Idol world, Obama appears to be the perfect solution. For the rest of us, let's hope the next two years pass quickly and uneventfully.
