Internet Censorship Goes Worldwide
Colin writes,
Why pass a law when you can pass a global treaty?
The Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA) has been in the
works for several years, but back in October of last year they
completed a final draft.
Now that it appears SOPA and PIPA (internet censorship bills before
the U.S. Congress) appear to be stalled for the moment, they are
now going full steam ahead with ACTA.
ACTA appears to be just as bad for the internet, but goes a good
deal further than just the internet...
