In this 21 April 2026 video, host Cash Jordan talks about how the U.S. Navy is enforcing a strict blockade of all Iranian ports, which President Donald Trump has recently extended despite a fragile ceasefire. The U.S. Navy initiated blockade operations on April 13, 2026, in an effort to pressure Tehran into reopening the Strait of Hormuz and accepting a peace deal. On April 19, 2026, the USS Spruance intercepted and seized the Iranian-flagged cargo ship Touska in the Gulf of Oman after it reportedly tried to “run the blockade”. President Trump stated the Navy “stopped them right in their tracks by blowing a hole in the engine room” after the crew ignored warnings. According to White House and Pentagon reports from early April, a significant portion of Iran’s conventional navy—over 150 naval vessels, including its entire submarine fleet—has been destroyed or incapacitated since hostilities began on February 28, 2026. Iran has responded by closing the Strait of Hormuz and firing on commercial ships attempting passage, while the U.S. continues to intercept any vessels attempting to reach or depart from Iranian ports.

President Trump has maintained that the blockade will remain in “full force” until a final agreement is reached, even as he extended the ceasefire to allow Iranian leadership time to unify around a proposal.
