You can tell a lot about a man by his friends….

Everyone knows that Biden is a handsy guy and a complete creep, and it isn’t exactly helping his case that the people he surrounds himself with are creeps too.

Joe Cotchett has been chosen by Biden to advise on the staffing of federal judges.

It’s too bad he is also a child abuser, a creep, and a boozehound according to a sworn affidavit filed by his ex-wife.

According to her, Cotchett liked to parade around his two daughters naked; even though this made them both horribly uncomfortable.

She also alleged that he would pull the girls from their hair, and slam their faces into their dinner plates when they would anger him at the table.

Is this really the guy we want picking our federal judges?

Joe Cotchett, the Joe Biden fundraiser and longtime friend who is largely responsible for the Biden administration’s upcoming federal judge picks, was accused by his ex-wife in his divorce case of physically abusing his children and making his daughters uncomfortable for walking around naked in front of them.

Politico Playbook reported: “The Biden administration’s transition team has tapped powerhouse Bay Area attorney Joe Cotchett to chair a key committee to recommend federal judges to Biden. “You saw what Trump did, in appointing 200-plus federal judges,’’ he told POLITICO in an interview.

Cotchett’s friendship with Biden goes back 45 years — so, he said, he has agreed to help the new administration work quickly to identify qualified federal judges who will apply for senior status, so those seats can be filled quickly and efficiently."

Victoria Cotchett, an art critic, filed for divorce in San Mateo County Superior Court in September, but the real fireworks in the Cotchett divorce erupted in March over custody of their 17-year-old daughter. The bulldog trial lawyer actually fired the first salvo, accusing his wife of being an overly permissive parent who let her teen daughter get tattoos, body piercings, and drive the BMW without a license. For good measure, he accused Victoria of being addicted to prescription pills (which she adamantly denied).

He must have sensed that his wife would have a nasty response because he also filed an application to seal records involving child custody and visitation around the same time. If approved, the ex parte application would have meant sealing anything he and his wife said about each other in court records while fighting for the teen. Cotchett’s attorney, Timothy Wright, contended that the records needed to be sealed to protect the daughter’s privacy. Victoria Cotchett’s lawyers retorted that Mr. Cotchett was attempting to seal custody declarations to get “free reign to attack” the Mrs. while shielding from the public anything she may say about him in her defense.
