NATIONAL CITY, Calif. -- A 14-year-old South Bay boy was jailed Wednesday on suspicion of stabbing the 13-year-old mother of his baby with a kitchen knife in a fit of jealousy.

The boy, whose name was withheld because he is a minor, allegedly attacked the girl at his parents' home in the 400 block of B Avenue in National City about 12:30 a.m., according to police.

Medics took the victim to Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego, where she was treated for a non-life-threatening neck wound.

Detectives questioned the suspect's friends throughout the day before locating him this afternoon in a neighborhood on Delta Street, near the border of National City and San Diego, NCPD Sgt. Dennis Leach said.

The teen surrendered without incident and was booked into juvenile hall.

The assault allegedly occurred as the suspect and his girlfriend, who have a year-old daughter together, argued over her relationship with another boy, according to police.

Watch the video. The 14 y/o Galvan, son of Maria Hernandez is allegedly on probation for a narcotics violation.

This is a great example of what happens when people refuse to assimilate into our culture. Pregnant 12 year olds are nothing new in Mexico.
