Not only spelling, but grammar is a thing that has been twisted. When my poor goddaughter was in middle school, her English teacher made them write a "powergraph" which HAD to be ten sentences long. She failed that assignment as her powergraph was only seven sentences.
This lunacy was the invention of the FL school systems as a way to help the ESL learners catch up--at the expense of American children.

Spelling is just another "social construct". I thought everybody knew that.

That's a shame vortex. The old adage of the 3 "R"s is so missing from the school system. My godson, just finally graduated from highschool this year. At the age of 21.

Most of it I attribute to the stupid educational system as there was no such thing as a wrong answer. I call it arbitrary education myself, as nothing is learned, accept the propaganda the school system wants them to learn.

And his biggest issue, was he had no "drive". No wonder he didn't. There was nothing to strive for! It is all an illusion. Like the Wizard of Oz. The man behind the curtain. But you don't see him. Just the image that is presented to you from an outside view.

Reguardless of schedules, parents have to take a more active involvement approach to their children's education. Same thing I did with both my kids, although they did have the benefit of their intellegence that helped them get into better schools where it is required to apply the knowledge you are taught.

This will fit here. A parody based on Pink Floyd's "We Don't Need No Education."
